Soo i think part of the reason

Recommended Posts

that i'm plateaued is i'm eating too much. but i'm confused, i'm hungry and i have 7.25 in my band. How can i be hungry? i go back next week to follow up. But honestly, i don't know if i can handle much more. I tend to throw up a few times a day now (if i'm eating too fast at work, or something doesn't want to go down) but honestly.....what am i doing wrong? i'm about ready to give up yet i don't want to!

Maybe you're eating too much or maybe you're not eating enough, who knows. You'll have to work to figure that out yourself. If you're throwing up a few times a day, you're seriously putting yourself at risk. If I were you I'd consider a small unfill, but that's just me.

In the end I think you need to realize the being hungry is normal. Your body is supposed to be hungry. Why are you seeking to get rid of hunger? You just have to learn how to differentiate between real hunger and normal hunger. The band doesn't end hunger, nor do any WLS types..at least not forever.

I cannot recommend making a food diary enough. If you are unsure how many calories you are taking in use myfitnesspal and the other sites like it. It gives the calories and everything!!

I eat 5 to 6 times a day, but that is what works for my body. It keeps my energy level up and I do not get the out of control hunger.

I am having a bit of a struggle in this area as well. I currently have 8cc's in my band and I am considering going for another fill, however, I will get slightly stuck now if I don't chew enough or pay attention to my food. The food program I have been put on is 1300 calories a day and I am still so hungry. I see on here that people are consuming 800 calories and are feeling satisfied by that as well as losing weight consistently. Is that what I should be striving for? I just don't want to have too much of a fill and end up with problems from being too tight. But the truth of the matter is that I am not losing the weight at this time. "sigh":(

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
