Hi all I got my banded on August 25. On September 3rd I was able to start eating the mushy foods and on the 18 I was able to start other foods. The problem is now I rarely ever feel full. I feel like I am able to eat anything with no restrictions and I'm able to eat a lot more. I haven't had a fill yet, but do you think something more is wrong like band slippage? I am really frustrated because I haven't lost any more weight since I stopped the liquid diet.< /p>

You really won't have restriction until your first fill- I think this is what other's have called "bandster hell". You have to use some willpower right now. I can share with you that I sonehow convinced myself that I had restriction from the very beginning. It was mind over matter- it really helped.

Also, even though carbs make good mushies- try and keep away. That is advice I can't follow myself- I fall back to mashed potatoes ALL the time. Eating Protein (tuna, Soups, chicken salad) will help you get full.

Also, try tracking your calorie intake. It does help accountability. Many (myself included) use www.myfitnesspal.com they also have an iPhone app

Best of luck on your journey.

I so understand what you are saying. I had the very same thing happen to me. I was banded June 21 and had exactly the same results. I lost 14 lbs the 1st week after banding and then nothing for the next 3 weeks! EEK! Finally I began to loose very, very slowly. I have my 3 month anniversary tomorrow and I've lost 25 lbs total since then. That may not be as fast as I'd like it to be, but that combined with what I lost before the surgery is a total of 40 lbs. I have had to learn to take it easy on me and work the eating program I've been given no matter what the scale says. If I am faithful, eventually, the scale will go down again. But in the meantime, my body is adjusting to the lbs already lost. And considering this time last year I had so much pain it was hard to walk, get up and down stairs and go grocery shopping and now I can do all if it without pain and I'm off my BP meds :D, I'm in a much better place.

So all this to say, be good to yourself and keep your eyes on the prize. Get your fills when you are scheduled. It'll all work out if you choose to do it all - One Day at a Time.

Good for you for coming to the group for support - that's what we are all here for!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
