Sounds like you might need a small unfill. When I get stuck I find that sipping luke warm Water and walking around helps ease it down. I would go ahead and call your doctor to see if they can help you, especially if you keep having issues with getting food down. Good Luck!

Walking around does help. The key is really taking tiny, tiny bits and chewing the hell out of it before swallowing. Some people can't do eggs or crackers. Try eating mushier foods or liquids after a stuck episode. If it continues call your doc for an unfill. Throwing up can definitely cause band slippage and that'a the last thing you want. Good luck to you!

It's true, you may be over filled, but before you jump to conclusions; ask yourself if you are eating very small bites, chewing well, and slowly.

I'm fine where I'm at right now. But, sometimes I forget I'm banded, and all I have to do, for example, is eat one cracker or one swallow of tuna fish like I did in the old days, and I'm stuck!!

I use Papaya Enzyme, try small sips of warm liquids. STOP trying to eat. Do liquids for a couple of days, then mushies. This is in case you have become swollen and are irritated. I had this happen last summer and didn't stop trying to eat, I then had to get an unfill. Funny thing is I hadn't had a fill in months, I had just gotten stuck. IF you can keep the liquids down then you should be ok, if not the unfill is needed.

I got a fill yesterday and my doc now prints this out as part of the visit information and instruction for each patient. Good luck.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
