Woo hoo! I now weigh less than I have in 5 years

Recommended Posts

I am on day 4 after banding. The first few days I had actually gained weight, but I knew that was just from the post-op swelling. Today the swelling is starting to go down and I am finally breaking into new territory on the scale.. Prior to banding I lost 40 pounds and had reached a point I had been to several times in the last 5 years. Previously, this is the point where I would fall off the wagon and start putting on weight again, only to end up even heavier than I was at the beginning. This time I am going to continue to lose weight and I will finally get to buy new clothes. I have the feeling that I will be at least one size down before I go back to work in 2 weeks.

Yea! and congrats. You are doing great. Your in the same boat as I was before weight loss surgery. I was the type that got bored with dieting and would stop or slow down. I had lost 40 lbs with WW and then went on vacation for 3 weeks cross country traveling. I think I gained 20 lbs that trip. Yipes! so I am now, for the 1st time in my life, at goal. You can do it. This "old" lady of 63 did it at 60. Good luck. Karen

Feels great doesn't it? The weight I lost pre band (not a lot, but even throughout the years), and my pre op diet, by the time I got my band every pound was a new low for me. So I am thrilled with every one. Good luck with your losses and keep working it!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
