Hi, everyone!

My name is Kelly, 22 years old, from Columbia, SC.

I've been lurking around this site for a few days now getting as much information about the lapband as I possibly can and I finially decided to join today. My pre-op appointment is on Wednesday (7/13) and my surgery date is on 7/25. I officially start my pre-op diet tomorrow and I think I'm actually excited to get started! Mostly, because it means I'm one step closer to getting the surgery and starting my new life.

Just from browsing the site I've been almost reduced to tears because hearing and seeing everyone's amazing transformations is so inspiring and I can't wait to have my very own success story. Everyone here seems so helpful and encouraging I couldn't wait to come on and introduce myself.

Is there anyone out there from the SC area?

Also, feel free to share your story if you'd like. I love to hear them.

Thanks for the welcomes!

Mimilou2004- My surgeon is Dr. Dalton Prickett with Palmetto Health Baptist. I've only met him twice so far, but he seems to be very supportive. I really enjoy the team behind him as well. Which is most important I suppose, since they're the ones I'll be seeing the most.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
