I am approximately 1 1/2 weeks post-op and for the past few days I have been experiencing extreme fatigue. I have been concentrating on getting all Protein, taking Vitamins, etc....

Anybody have any ideas or experience this as well?

Thanks.

Have you been drinking your 64 oz of Water everyday? This is critical.

I am 1 week post opt and I too am feeling the same way. I stopped my Iron pills fir 2 days due to Constipation, and now Thai it's been resolved just started them back up again this morning. I know for a fact I'mmot getting enough Water. I'm gonna work harder at getting the recommended amount daily. My Protein intake has been good though. Hope I feel better after increasing water and taking my iron again. Didn't helpthat I was anemic prior to surgery I'm sure. Hope you feel better soon as well.

Nifrex is also an Iron supplement that happenes to be very easy on stomach with less chance of Constipation. you may want to ask your doctor about it. Good Luck with every thing. can't wait to be on this side with you guys hopefully soon.

I felt the same way. I pretty much slept the whole week after the surgery. sleep - wake up - drink something - watch tv - sleep and repeat

It took me a while to get back to feeling like myself. I attributed it to no solid food, anesthesia, and stress from surgery. Rest as much as you can and keep hydrated and you should start feeling better soon.

I ddn't get tired until week 2. Then it was like somebody stole my energy, I did the sleep, drink, sleep, eat, sleep, sleep & sleep for about a week then I was fine. Get the Water in and time will take care of it.

Make sure you get between 60-80G of Protein a day.

We were put on Flintstones Complete with CHOLINE.

They are chewable, but all this combined was suppose to help you.

It did to a degree. I still had healing to do, so I slept sometimes,

but was not dead to the world.

Look up Choline, and see what it can do for you.

U also have to think about how few of.calories u r eating.... That's not gonna give ur body much fuel & ur body is trying to heal. Hang in there! It'll get better!

Day 12 here and think I am going through this, too. Got out with daughter and did some shopping, but have felt like someone pulled the plug on my energy ever since! :o Think I over did it. Took it easy on Sunday and Monday. Today looks like it may be another day of rest. RATS. Have stuff I want to get done!!!

I am 15 days post op and that is my biggest complaint.--NO ENERGY! Some days are better than others and I guess the bad days are getting less. You have to remind yourself that you just had surgery and your calorie intake has dropped dramatically, that is what I tell myself. From what I understand this too shall pass, I just wish it would hurry up because I have places to go and things to do!!!

How much caffeine were you drinking pre-op? (Coffee diet soda etc?) I was drinking a fair amount and was always tired during the pre-op diet stage, but my body got over the need for it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
