Tricare denied me because I didn't meet their requirements I get the 100lbs overweight with co-morbidities, but how do you figure out the 200% overweight ideal body weight. I am nurse and a very good one if I may say without sounding full of myself, but I have no idea how to figure that out? Anyone else know?

I have no idea but would guess that 200% would be double your ideal weight!

They take your ideal weight and double it. I was 100 lbs over and had hypertension so I was approved, but without a co-morbidity I would not have been approved unless I weighed 300 lbs because my "ideal" weight for my height (5'7") is 150.

Wouldn't 200% overweight be more than double your weight? If your ideal weight is 150 and you're 100% overweight, I guess that would mean you're 300 lbs. (150+150). 200% overweight may actually be 450 (150+150+150). Math has never been my strong suit though, so I'm just guessing.

I was told that by my Tricare advocate, so that is what I am going by :-)

If you haven't already appealed, there are some samples in the the Ins/Finance board on here. I think someone had a Tricare appeal on there.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
