Photos - And How I Always Avoided Them

Recommended Posts

Me too  there are very few pics of me. I always pick them apart.... too fat, red eyes, blotchy skin, bad hair day .......

The sad thing is that now I've lost over 100 pounds and went to a couple weddings since and hate the pics of me at those events. :(

One of the saddest things to me is that I cannot look at my SIL's wedding pictures because of the way I look in that bridesmaid's dress. I am close to her and there is a picture of the two of us that I would throw in the garbage if I didn't realize how hurt she would be by that. I looked horrible in all of the professional pics, forever captured at my highest weight. Because they are wedding photos, they will never fade into the background, they will never be thrown in a box or thrown in the trash, or otherwise discarded. They will forever grace the walls of my family.

Ah well-- I will always have an easy reminder of why I NEVER want to go back to where I came from.

I agree though that pictures aren't always easier today :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
