I notice many people can have puddings, cottage cheeses and mashed potatoes at this point. Well my diet just included the same thing as the clear liquid just adding v8 and fudgecials and strained Soup. Well I decided to put all the Soups in the blender and make them liquid, veggies, meat and all. And it seems to be fine with me. Also I add a few teaspoons of mashed potatoes to it to give it a little texture, but still runny. I am much happier as a person since I did it. Does anyone see anything wrong with this? I was starving and this has helped so much. and it is still really liquid..... Idk but I am loving broccoli and cheese with a little skim milk and a few teaspoons of instant mashed potatoes. OMG yummmmmmmm.

Not to be a downer but if your doctor called for full liquids than you should stay on that. Pureeing a regular Soup is not full liquids it's a mushie. I was on clears for 7 days and then full liquid for 7 more. Tomato or squash soup is a full liquid.

It is always best to check with your doctor you will get conflicting info from all of us :). I was on a "full liquid" post op diet for 6 weeks - My doc was ok with anything blended & watered down/strained to liquid.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
