steps after seminar

Recommended Posts

So I was wanting to know is what are the steps after the seminar if you get approved and you are paying out of pocket. Do you still have to do like the 6 month diet and the physiologist(sp?). On june 14 I have my seminar and just really wanted to know how fast or slow it will be.

Good Question! There really isn't a clear cut answer though. Different doctors require different things. Even if you are paying out of pocket, they will still require some kind of diet to help shrink your liver which will give the surgeon room to work when they operate on you. I would say once you finish with your seminar, the surgeon's office should be calling you in the next couple of weeks. I would start gathering questions such as if you still need to do the nutritional consult and physc. evaluation. They may require the nutritional consult because the way you eat is affected the rest of your life and they want to be sure you are taking proper care of yourself. Good luck on your journey! I'm being banded on June 9th. It has taken me over a year with all of my hoops. I have seen people have a consult and surgery 2 and a half months later. Be patient! Certainly keep us informed. Best of luck!

Did you read my extensive reply to your post from the other day? If you call the surgeon's office, they will tell you exactly what to expect.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
