2.9cc - 4th & hopefully last fill!

Recommended Posts

Kristi, at 2.2cc and the restriction, are you feeling like you are getting close to the feeling like after your surgery? I am gaining weight back too and it is getting me down. I lost so well and now I am feeling like before the surgery, hungry all the time and can eat fast and anything I want to eat, its very frustrating. It is also scarring me becasue I feel like something could be wrong because I am like I was before the surgery.

Good for you.

I'd love to get to 2.9 or 3.0 but my doctor is 'holding me back' (my phrase, not his) at 2.7-2.8 in my 4cc band. I think I'm one of those who will always need a big more restriction than normal. My body is just goofy about fill level.

I had pretty darn good restriction at 2.5 -2.7 but after I somehow and miraculously actually lost some more weight, I now feel less restriction than I did a few months back. I haven't had a fill since before the summer so maybe I can get "Dr. No" to say yes eventually!:)

:clap2: Congrats on hitting what seems like your Sweet Spot!

Happy Band Journeys to all!

Jolean,

I never had restriction after surgery. I wasn't hungry for exactly 1 day: the day of the procedure because I was in too much pain to eat. After 4 fills I can still gulp Water and the only thing I pb is lean dry hard Protein. Grrrrrr. Well, 5th fill Tuesday, here's hoping I can finally quell the hunger. Like Jack says, it is my own personal dragon/demon.

Just click on the link above the scales. tickerfactory and go to the weightloss tracker and follow the directions. The tricky part is picking the right link at the end to paste to your user signature. after you have the link copied go to your user cp at the top of the LBT page and edit signature. paste the link in your signature. Hope this helps.

Well, I think I am at my sweet spot. Finally!! I have lost 20 lbs. since my 4th fill!!!!! My doc was really cautious filling to 2.9cc. He pretty much said that I was at my limit. So far I haven't lost any restriction. I hope it sticks around! Good luck everyone! I hope you all have hit your sweet spots!

Praise the Lord, could this finally be the sweet spot? As you can see from my ticker its been a fill and unfill journey.....but by golly this might be what I hear y'all talking about. Got fill on 1/23 to 1.9 which is actually .1 over the previous fill that had to be unfilled due to not being able to eat and acid reflux. BUT this time I did what I was told.....no solid food for 4 days unless you count a mushy potato in some Soup. Yesterday was able to eat some pepper steak cut in tiny tiny pieces with a little rice....about a cup saucer size and oh my God! is that the feeling of F U L L! YES! lunch today....ate the small pieces of chicken out of my soup and small salad and 8 frito chips and I'm stuffed..........Okay I'm excited.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
