Anesthesia really isn't as scary as people think. My fiance just had an endoscopy this morning and was worried about the anesthesia because he never had it before and he said it wasn't nearly as bad as he expected. Most people don't even remember falling asleep because it happens so quickly. The last thing I remember was being in the operating room and talking to the anesthesiologist about a cruise I just took in February. The next thing I know, I'm in recovery an hour later.

Don't be scared! Good luck!

I completely understand! I just had surgery this morning! and I am already home! I was so scared and nervous before the surgery this morning, I even started crying! But everything went so smooth that they even sent me home early! You will do great, it is normal to be nervous, but it will be over and done before you know it! I can tell you from my own expierience just today! Good Luck! You will do great!

Thank you both, because i need all the encouragement that i can get and it helped alot..... Congrats on your new band......

Good luck to you and the beginning of your new life! Be proud that you are taking control of your life! You will be fine and we all wantto hear from you afterwards! You'll be a "Bandster" !

It's totally normal to be nervous , i was actually really nervous up til the put me to sleep lol but i got banded on march 30th and as long as you follow ALL the rules they give you for post-op you will be fine, i have lost 30pounds since surgery and haven't even had my 1st adjustment yet. good luck and let us know how everything goes!

I'm getting mines at 6:30 AM Tuesday and I'm anxious. I've been ok with the liquid diet and I strayed a couple of times........but I immediately did at least 750 calories worth of cardio and lifted weights to lessen the effect. The hardest part for me will be not being able to lift weights for a month. However with this band, the effect of my working out should be greater with less food intake.....I wish everyone getting their bands in the final days of April the best of luck April Band Buddies....
