  1. Congrats and keep up the good work!!
  2. Its funny you post this because I just saw an add for the tough mudder yesterday on facebook. I too was intimidated by it at first but I think my wife and I will compete in it.
  3. I also get the cvs brand Protein powder and its good :-)
  4. My Dr said I couldn't lift anything over 20lbs for 4weeks after surgery. It took my port area about 4wks to not give me any discomfort.
  5. I was banded 14 days ago and i'm on the pureed stage, but 2 days ago I had half a ceasar salad wrap and I was stuffed. I find that you can eat most of the samethings as long as you chew chew chew. I usually go for 25x then swallow
  6. During my first week I did exactly what my nutritionist told me to eat. 3 protein shakes a day and 1-4oz of liquid an hour. On my first week post op visit I lost 22lbs. As far as drinking slow, I don't really drink much different from before surgery. The only big different is the amount per sip I take in, but i definitely don't wait 5min between sips.
  7. Good Luck to you.....I was just banded yesterday morning and it was a good experience. No complaints here :-)
  8. As I typing this i'm being discharged from the hospital from being banded yesterday morning. I honestly feel great! If there is one thing that I would need to complain about it would be my stomach feels like I did 2million sit-ups, but the pain is 4 out of 10 easy now. Yesterday it may have been about 6.5, but I was walking an hour out of recovery......Good Luck to you
  9. I was banded yesterday morning and upon being awaken I was pleasantly surprised by not alot of pain at all. My left shoulder does hurt and my stomach just feels like I did 1million sit ups,but the those are normal. I was walking about about an hour after being let out of recovery room. All in all so far, so good on being banded.
  10. My Band date is 4/25/11 and Good Luck to all on their weight lose journey. T.B.

  13. Congrats! I take it by your name that your in jersey....if so who is doing your band? I have Dr Strom out of glen ridge as my band surgeon.
  14. Congrat on the decision to change your life! I had my consultation yesterday and everything was straight forward. I filled out paperwork, they went over it with me, I got a mini physical, and lastly the surgeon explained about the band and what my insurance required for me to get the band.
  15. Your doing great, Keep up the good work! I pray I have results like you.
  16. Thats great to hear! I'm not 100% sure, but I believe its up to the insurance as to whether or not you'll do the 6 month monitored diet. I didn't even contact my insurance I just set up an appointment with my surgeon and he let me know what my insurance required from me in order to do the surgery.
