I think I've passed the first bandster hell phase

Recommended Posts

Finally today (post op day 4) I am able to take sips of liquids without it feeling like I need to vomit immediately!!! I have been sipping on a SoBe Zero Water without any problem and I realized that I was HUNGRY. I haven't even thought that word since Monday morning before surgery. I am sipping on my first Protein Shake and it's delicious!! Yesterday was hell and today is Heaven. I am on my way.

I can already tell that the liquid phase of the diet is going to get old soon. I already miss chewing. blink.gif I will stick to it, don't worry. I didn't go thru all the cost and misery to mess it up. On a positive note I've lost 10 lbs from my first surgeon visit on 2/17 until yesterday (POD3). Thats definetly a positive start. It can only get better,

Looks like we had our surgery on the same day! My post op is going OK, the gas is the worst. I walk a lot and take gas x, but it is still a problem. Everyday I wake up thinking it will get better. My doctor says Clear Liquids first 2 days then full liquids so I am on full liquids now, it is hard it's not that I'm starving, but I NEED to chew. I was on a Liquid Protein 2 weeks prior, also! I'm losing a lot of weight too, but I hope with a balanced diet and exercise I can keep it off!!!

Hope you keep on the good road to recovery!

PEACE, Joleen

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
