Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I'm 5 days Post-op and my stomach still REALLY hurts, gettting up off the couch, bending over to get something off the floor, walking out side, etc etc. I also had a henial hernia reparied the same time.

Any help, suggestions, time frames when it gets better?

TIA,

It took me about 2 1/2 weeks before the hurting went away in the port area. I also hurt when getting up from a chair, bending over etc.... Hang in there it does go away!!!

Hi Kelli! I'm 5 days post-op also and still have some pain in my biggest incision which I'm assuming is where my port is. It is really uncomfortable to sit in certain positions for too long but it seems to get better every day. Hang in there!!

Thanks! That is what they told me largest incision, left side where the ol' port is! So have you went bak to work yet? I called by boss sunday evening and told here I wasn't real sure when I wld be returning. Before I thought I would be there Monday bright and early....I've read about so many who had surgery on Friday and was back to work by Monday....not so much for me! I'm hoping maybe by wed, I'll go back.

I'm married, have 2 boys, and work full time in a domestic violence shelter as a legal advocate. Very cool we were banded on the same day!

I started going to weight watchers when I was 14 I'll be 32 in April, I had had enough. I',m healthy all for except being overweight. I researched and LB was the best choice for me! I can't wait to get off meds for High BP and PCOS!

So what is your story?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
