Need lap band buddy

Recommended Posts

Ok so I know I am stubborn enough to go it alone since the family and friends I have now are against this idea including my dr. Since she referred me into this bariActric clinic. I am sure I will have a melt down and it's good to know you have a friend who understands what you are going through. I am 44 242.6lb from 273.6lb now 5'4" and looking for a mentor/friend

Miss Avery, I am pretty much feeling alone also. I have made a few contacts on this site. I was banded 6 days ago in Mexico. I live in Canada and opted to travel to have surgery without a long wait list and red tape b.s.

I weigh 212 LBS and am 5ft 4inches. I am returning to work tomorrow and I too could use a buddy. Add me as a friend and we can chat!

Hi everyone!!! I would really like to find a band buddy to help support me if there is anyone out there willing. I am 23 yrs old and 320 pounds...i am having my lapband done on April 29th. I could really use a good support buddy!! I don't have anyone around me that is helping me with my journey..my boyfriend more or less tries to sabatoge my weight loss because he doesn't want me to loose the weight fearing i will leave him...my only true support buddy i had was my mother..she was there for me and kicked my butt when i needed it,but sadly she passed away december 4 of 2010 so now i am all alone on my journey. I would really love to be able to talk with someone who is going through or has gone through the same thing so if there is anyone out there that would like to talk please message me so we could talk! Thank u so much... <3

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
