Hey!! I know what u must be feeling..i'm 23 and when i first began the process i was 21...it has been a long journey for my but it is very very much worth it. I am gonna be banned on April 29th. I have hypothyroidism just like u do and i've had it since i was like 15...so i deff know where ur comming from there. My dr told me it wouldn't hold me back from loosing any weight..she told me that i was the only one who could hold myself back!!! About the cost..it does depend on what type of insurance u have. My insurance is gonna cover all the cost ..with my insurance my dr had to prove to them that this surgery is a do or die kind of thing and with my other medical problems do to weight they approved me. If u are really considering getting the lapband surgery and u have any questions about what the process is like or anything i would be glad to help u anyway i can...

Hi everyone!!! I would really like to find a band buddy to help support me if there is anyone out there willing. I am 23 yrs old and 320 pounds...i am having my lapband done on April 29th. I could really use a good support buddy!! I don't have anyone around me that is helping me with my journey..my boyfriend more or less tries to sabatoge my weight loss because he doesn't want me to loose the weight fearing i will leave him...my only true support buddy i had was my mother..she was there for me and kicked my butt when i needed it,but sadly she passed away december 4 of 2010 so now i am all alone on my journey. I would really love to be able to talk with someone who is going through or has gone through the same thing so if there is anyone out there that would like to talk please message me so we could talk! Hey everyone!! I am scheduled to have my lap-band surgery on April 29th and i start my all liquid diet on April 15th. I'm excited about starting this whole new life and being so healthy cuz i'm only 23 and i've already got so many health issues due to weight,but i'm also so so scared about this whole thing...i'm honestly starting to doubt if i can even do this or not!!!! I have lost the weight i was supposed to,but i tend to bounce back and forth with the eating right and exercising...i don't know what to do!!
