I'm emailing all the way from New Zealand. My lap band surgery is set for 9 March 2011. I'm currently on Day 5 of the pre-op Optifast diet. Looking forward to chatting

Hi Mullet and welcome :) I want to wish you all the best with your surgery and journey. I am 3 months post op as of tomorrow and have no regrets. There are ups and downs along the way but I hope you find more of the ups as I have! I personally thought the pre op liquid diet was the hardest... but I stuck to it and the surgery went fine and I lost the first 15 lbs to boot (in my stats)...

OT, I am in an online gaming league and our Head Admin is from NZ. I also have another friend who lives in NZ whom I met at a get together a couple years ago (from a Christian website). Hope to get over there someday!

Again, good luck and don't hesitate to ask questions on the boards! Good group of folks here! :D

God bless, Susan

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
