Tummy Tuck, Breast lift with Aug and lipo at the same time?

Recommended Posts

I am 30 years old and will be having plastic surgery this June. Never had a surgery in my life. I am considering getting a Tummy Tuck, breast lift and aug and Lipo on my lower back and thighs. Is this too much to do at one time? I have heard that a lot of doctors do not like to do the lift and augmentation at the same time. What are your thoughts? :):)

I had a TT and lift/augmentation 4 weeks ago; I consulted w/several different PS and all of them definitely wanted to do the augmentation with the lift at the same time - I don't think it makes much sense/difference to NOT do these two procedures together...? Can't imagine wanting to open up the breasts at two different times, that seems very odd, unnecessary, but I'm certainly no doctor!!!

Unless you meant that some doctors don't want to do TT and breast lift/aug at the same time...?

At any rate, I had all of it done in one procedure (no lipo), surgery took 4 1/2 hours, spent one night in the hospital and have had a really great recovery. I went to a very well thought of PS who was recommended to me by several women and was the one I felt most comfortable with. Still have a small amount of swelling in my breasts and a bit in my abs but let me assure you, I am SO HAPPY I did this, it has made a huge difference in my looks and self esteem!

Best of luck to you and congratulations on your weight loss and new healthy life!!

Having multiple surgeries all at one time is fine and I don't think there is any problem with that however breast augmentation, and other plastic surgery procedures if done at one time might cause bit of a pain in the corresponding part of the body as there is generally swelling after surgery so it would be nice to have one surgery at a time, when you recover form your previous surgery then you many go for the other one.

"a lot of doctors do not like to do the lift and augmentation at the same time"

A good plastic surgeon will combine and perform only two of the most safest plastic surgery on a patient. If you are going for either an abdominoplasty, brachioplasty, thigh lift, and/or any other procedure(s) an want these combined - high chances are that a junior surgeon would be assisting the senior surgeon. Keep in mind, that the sutures WILL be different since every surgeon has his/her own style in stitching. If you were introduced to a junior surgeon he/she most probably would be performing one of your surgeries. Most surgeons who performed a mommy makeover take this sort of approach. I certainly don't want any apprentice practicing on me. Not to scare you, but beware on surgery day.

That seems to be enough surgery for one session. A wise surgeon know what your body can survive via the trauma. i think anymore is vanity, dangerous, and stupid

Hey there!

I went to Dr. James Romanelli in Huntington - I am so thrilled with the results, I cannot recommend him highly enough! I went to several PS in the area (I'm actually in Nassau) and really liked his 'portfolio' or whatever you would call it and I also knew of several women who were his patients and were very happy with their results. He is very soft-spoken, reassuring and kind & his office staff is really good too.

As for cost, for my breast lift, augmentation and abdominoplasty, it was around $21,000 (which was comparable to the other surgeons I consulted with).

I would definitely go for a consultation w/Dr. Romanelli, he was the only I saw who did not charge a consultation fee, fwiw, so you have nothing to lose!

Am happy to answe any more questions you may have - best of luck!!!

My daughter had lower body lift, breast lift, a yahoo lift (use your imagination), and fat implants into butt all at the same time...phenomenal results...I don't know that I could have done it but I am 20 years older than her...lol

My daughter went to Dr. Lomonaco from the show that used to be on TV called Big Medicine. He's in Houston. She lives in NYC. So she stayed with her friend for two weeks before coming home. She still has a couple more procedures to do but those were the biggest chunk. But the results were well worth it!!

Thinking of having the same surgery, in Montana. What's a ballpark price? does insurance cover any of it?

Thanks, June

Hi Smileyflower24 and Savingface,,

I had a full Mommy Makeover and face surgery (rhinoplasty, breast lift with implants, Tummy Tuck and liposuction of the abdomen, abdominal flanks and inner and outer thighs, and back), I didn't have it done in one time (i mean in one surgery) because it would be too much but I did all my surgeries during a trip of 18 days and in 2 steps.

For my surgery I travelled to South America at MakeoverTravel clinic (because it was much cheaper than in the US),,,my surgeons did all my surgeries in two steps. The first surgery was my tummy tuck and liposuction,, because these surgeries were longer to heal.

and 10 days after my first surgery I had my rhinoplasty and breast lift with implants done.

It was a lot for one trip but that's the way to go for sure! I had the surgery in November 2010 and I decided to do it after i had lost 100 pounds. The surgery was hard and the recovery was painful but it was worth every penny and every pain. I think my breasts hurt worse than my stomach but today I am very happy with my results,, I don't think my stomach has ever been this flat before. It is my favorite part of my body now.

After my surgery, as I had so many procedures at once, I opted to stay 2 nights in the hospital after my tummy tuck and one night after my breast surgery.

My advise for this kind of surgery is: Make sure to have someone with you for several days at least to help you get around and generally take care of you. This is a pretty major surgery and you can't straighten up or lift anything as heavy as a gallon of milk for a week (see how easy it is to forget the details!!!). I went abroad for my surgery but I went through a medical agency because this is the best way to be sure that you are going with the right surgeon and because they provide you with all the services and care you need after your surgery with a personal assistant or nurse.

I still can't say enough, this is some of the best money I have ever spent.

I paid $ 8,500 for all my procedures rhinoplasty, breast implants with breast lift, full liposuction and tummy tuck, the company included in my package 18 days in a nice hotel, and all the service with my bilingual assistant, local transportation and all the blood test before each surgery. It was a very affordable cost ( the cost of this procedure in the US would be around $30.000). I think that travelling abroad is the best option when you can't afford such surgery in your country and you don't want to wait years before you can do it,,

the most complicated when you go abroad is to choose the right company or dr. I personally had a great experience with MakeoverTravel,, the staff is very professional and they work with skilled surgeons but I know that others medical operators such as Sensualbodydream or Cosmetic vacations provide good options for american people who are looking for a good medical center outside the US at affordable costs.:)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
