Congrats on your weight loss...I was thinking of going to the gym but I cant even commit to walking my neighborhood everyday so I dont want to waste the money...

Hope you can keep with it and lose that other 50lbs:D

Good Luck Princess. I know exactly what you mean as I am starting Zumba this coming Tuesday night. It's hard to imagine being able to move my 213 pound body to all those moves (oh and by the way I am only 4' 11''), but I'm sure going to give it a try. I've found out in this weight loss journey of mine that I at least have to try and if I don't exactly get to the point of where I hoped I would, at least I do have the satisfaction of saying I tried which I don't know about you guys, but it's a whole lot more than what I was doing before the LapBand. LOL Anyway good luck and give it all you got. Connie

Congrats!! Joining a gym was key for me as far as committing to exercise. Since I'm paying, I might as well go. Now I belong to a regular gym, cross training class (we pay for a certain number of classes per month) and a spinning class (I pay for 8 classes at a time). I love the variety - it keeps it really interesting and most importantly, it keeps me going. I feel so much better now that I'm working out and my body is definitely changing (I actually am starting to have a shape). Good luck with your first gym membership and don't be nervous!

Good job joining a gym.

I joined a local gym 6 months ago in hopes of starting a gut busting work out routine. Well I just started last Monday night! My first night I had a two hour work out. ( The first hour was getting my butt up off the couch!)

I am starting out slow. Light weights on the machines one night and treadmill the next night. I don't want to hurt something and get off track right from the beginning. I'm going for 4 nights a week.

Congrats on joining the gym. I go to 24 hr Fitness and it was the best decision. I never liked exercising in the past and now I go right after work and its such a stress reliever. I've made that my "ME" time. I have come to enjoy exercising (most of the time that is  ) My partner says that I am obsessed and maybe I am just a bit, but I rather be obsessed about exercising than being obsessed with food! Well anyway....enjoy yourself!

Chris

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
