Banded seven days ago and I started with diarrhea!

I was banded seven days ago and I started with diarrhea and some stomach ache. Is this normal? Is this part of the healing process? I'm still on liquids and will be starting puree on Thursday.

It is normal. Look at what you've been eating. Liquids right? Sooo liquids in liquids out. I checked with my doctor and that's what he said to me. Don't be worried, things will change once you start eating some more solid foods. :)

I ditto everything the previous poster said. It is perfectly normal.

From My understanding when you have liquid going in you have liquid comming out, when you have food intake then every things consistancy change.....camille01

Thank God I read this. I've been suffering for 2 days. It's made me weak and concerned about what nutrition my body is absorbing.

Banded on 30 December, and hoping this too shall "pass"--and soon!!!

Wow! have you lost 34 lbs in just two weeks? or does that include your pre-op diet as well?!?

impressive!

sorry about the potty issues though.

I lost 22 pounds pre-surgery and 12 pounds since. Now I'm constipated. ARRRRRGH. I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow and will talk with him about it then. Dulcolax isn't doing it. ARRRRRRGH.
