What make/model of scale do you use?

Recommended Posts

I have used a Tanita Ironman scale since late 2006. It recently stopped functioning, and I went to wal mart and bought a 25 dollar Weight Watchers scale. I have had the same - down to the .1 of a lb- for the past week. Now, I could see if I was staying about the same, but I would expect to see some fluctuation, either plus or minus a tenth or something, but I have seen no movement. It seems that I need to buy yet another scale. Can anyone out there recommend a scale that they find useful?

I'd return the scale if it's not working. I use the Weight Watchers scale by Conair and love it.

I had a similar problem with a new scale I bought prior to surgery. It would fluctuate 4 or 5 lbs in a matter of minutes and, although it was fluctuating on the lighter side, I knew I hadn't lost 9 lbs overnight. I finally exchanged it for the WW Glass Body Analysis Scale and it seems to work well.

I use my Wii Fit for a scale. It keeps all the information so I don't have to write anything down. Even gives BMI. Love it!

That's a good idea using the wii fit. Automatic recording. Do you find it to be accurate? I guess so, otherwise you wouldn't be using it for that purpose. Regarding the WW scale, I did an experiment, put on jeans, tennis shoes, heavy sweater, hopped on and same number. Then, took it all off, and same number. Then I got a 20# weight and put on it and it measured 19.7, then stood on there with the weight and it gave me about 15 more lbs than what it was giving me previously. I might take it back to wally world, but I don't think I have the receipt any more!!!

Thanks for the input!

Try measuring something you know the weight of like 1 lb of suger. Measured it several times during the day. See if the weight changes.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
