Hey girl! I am currently in Texas - but originally from IL, and we're moving back there in June. Not from the Chi-town area - about 3 hrs southwest in the Quad Cities, but my friends and I used to always take monthly trips up on the train to shop, etc. So I know I am not close now, but will be a lot closer, soon! :) I still have quite a few college friends that live up in the city or the burbs as well. I graduated from Western IL back in 2004.

I was actually going to send you a message and then I found this! I saw that Dr. Rosett did your surgery. He's my doc too! I haven't been banded yet but I'm sure my surgery will be sometime before the middle of Feb. I would love to have someone else to talk to, email, get together, etc who is going through the same thing!! I live in Wicker Park... what area do you live in?

Hi! I live in the Northern suburbs - work in Chicago. I just had my surgery 1/17/11 - would love to chat, give support by e-mail, etc. It is good to know others who are going through the same thing!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
