surgery is in feb 2011

Recommended Posts

today i had my psych visit that went well and i was approved...

i dont have my surgery date as of yet but the nurse told me it may be in Feb. i dont know why they make you do 6 months of diet documentation.....i can see at least 3 to 4 but anyway....

i just want to know does everyone have to go on a liquid diet or is it if you weigh a certain amount?

i have read so many horror stories of people who have had to do liquid diets and they are freaking out really bad... which is understandable if you are denying your body of food for 2 weeks and you have food right in your kitchen that you can eat... .its not like you are on the reality show survivor or something! lol

but anyway... what am i to expect during the first month? i know that the sleeve or the lap band works different for everyone... i thought abou the sleeve because there was no way i was doing gastric bypass..... but the sleeve is a mini version of the bypass i think more so

i just dont want to be disappointed if the band does not do what i have hearing about.... i was on youtube and you should all look up this girls journey ...her name is called skymoon and it is AMAZING.. i was soo happy for her! her doctor is from new york... she lost like 120 pounds in like 5 to 7 months! i also thought about getting the band and if it doesnt work out for me after about at least a year and a half that i would get the sleeve.... and id have different insurance and then they could pay for that surgery as well! LOL

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
