200 pounds lost, 34 more to go!

Fellow bandsters,

This week I have hit the 200 pounds lost milestone. Yay me! I have 34 more to go to meet my current goal, but I really see the end in sight now. I am starting to think of and see myself as an almost-normal weight person. Well, at least not morbidly obese any longer! I am really happy with my decision to get the lap band. It was truly the best decision I have ever made.

As my reward for hitting this milestone, I am treating myself to permanent makeup: eyebrow and upper/lower eyeliner. Basically it's tattooing on the face. I think I'm almost as scared of this as I was of the lap band surgery! But I am looking forward to it.

AlmostSkinnyKathy (wonder if I need to change my id on this site...)

Congrats!!

You must feel great.

Can you even remember how horrible it felt lugging all of that excess weight around?

Congrats girl, I am inspired and jealous too I want permanate eye brows,I am sick of my invisable blonde brows.................. let me know how yours turns out !

Wow this gives me hope I can lose 200lbs also!!! My goal weight is 199 but to get to 188 would be awesome!!!!! You are proof that people with more than 100 to 150lbs to lose can be successful with the band!!!!! Congrats!

Congrats to you....I was a little discouraged about 6 months ago because i stalled at about 240, but now i'm down to 209 and i'm no greatful with the choice I made. 10 more pounds and I'm under 200.

Please pay it forward. Share your experience and let some of these people whining about plateaus know that they don't last forever.

That's incredible! I was wondering myself how far this could take me, with just under 200lb to lose. I get banded in two weeks. :)

I love these stories since I am one who also has about 200 pounds to lose!

Congratulations on your amazing weight loss!

Plateaus come and go, but just keep on keeping on and you'll get past it. My experience throughout the entire 210 pounds I have lost so far is that I plateau for a few weeks and then all of a sudden drop 5 pounds at once, LOL. I have learned to take it all in stride. I know this is why lots of people advise you not to weigh yourself more than once a week, but I like the discipline of weighing myself daily. However, I don't get frustrated or upset with the daily ups and downs and weeks-long plateaus, because I know that sometime soon I will drop another 5 pounds, LOL. It's funny to me. More weirdness in my body, but as long as the trend continues downward, I don't care!

I'm down to a size 18 jeans now, 16 in tops! And those fit welll or are somewhat loose! I can hardly believe it! When I had my surgery, my size 36 jeans were tight!

I LOVE IT!!!!

You are an awesome inspiration for those of us who have larger amounts to lose!!!!

I want to lose between 186 and 200 lbs this is SOOOO what I needed to read!

I can only pray that my journey will take me as far as yours has you. Please share some things that work best for you. Or looking back for a about to be band person myself I would love to hear from someone who has gone above the norm and lost more then average expected weight loss

Congrats Kathy! You are such an inspiration! Reading your posts gives me hope that I can make it too! Thank you for sharing your journey with us!
