  1. Congrats to you....I was a little discouraged about 6 months ago because i stalled at about 240, but now i'm down to 209 and i'm no greatful with the choice I made. 10 more pounds and I'm under 200.
  2. OK I'm in...I wanted to be at 235 for thanksgiving and I reached that today. I actually wanted to lose 100 lbs by the new year so I am so in. That is 14lb I need to lose.
  3. I felt the same way...you lasted longer than I did for the first time. I see so many people on that machine but I could never do it. Last week while I was at the gym I told myself I was gonna give it another try. I did my entire workout and as I was leaving i said what the heck. I didn't think I was gonna make it, my legs felt like they were gonna give out...but I kept at it and after a few minutes it was ok. I only did about 5 minutes, but that was becuase I had already worked out for 45 minutes. So I would suggest that you give a few more tries before you write if off completely.
  4. I hear you...i was gaining and losing the same 5 lbs for 4 mo straight. I was so frustrated with myself. I wasn't following the program like i should. I went back to journaling everything exercising more and got another fill. I'm now at 5cc's and I lost 8lbs this week.
  5. Last week 249 This week 242 I did have a fill this week...
  6. Please be patient, I recently went through the same thing. I lost 40lb in my first 4 mo and then nothing the next 4. I had 2 fills in that time, and I did have some restriction, but I was eating the wrong things because they went down easier. I was also not exercising at all. A couple of weeks ago I decided that I started this journey and only I can finish it. I started journaling again and exercising at least 3x a week. I went for another fill on Tuesday and I have lost 7lbs in 5 days. I also didn't realize how much of a support this website was, i hadn't visited in months and just coming back has motivated me to get back on track. So my advice to you would be go back to the beginning...it helped me to kick start.
  7. I work in banking...i was working with student loans, i'm now with mortgages
  8. By the way...I did find a new job!!!
  9. Hello Everyone, It's been quite a while since I have posted or have even been on this site. I have had a bit of a slump, I lost my job and was a little depressed so I lost focus. I even stopped visiting this site, I finally realize what a support it is. Thankfully, I haven't gained any weight, but I haven't been eating the right things and I haven't been exercising either. Reading all these posts have given me the motivation to get back on track. Thanks for the encouragement.
  10. I was out for 3 weeks, my doctor normally keeps you out for 2, but i had my gallbladder removed as well so I was out an extra week.
  11. i was banded on 3/18 and have lost 28lb. I had 2cc in my band and got my first fill on 5/6 and additional 2cc.
  12. They scheduled my next fill for 8 weeks out, if i am still feeling hungry, i'm gonna try and get an appt. They have such a large practice that the try to schedule people far apart. Today is my last day of liquids and i lost 3lb in one day.
  13. So I had my first fill today. I found out there was 2cc in my band already and 2cc were added today. The process was pretty painless, but it did take awhile because my port was deep and low. I have plateaued so i am hoping this will give me a jump start. I'm on liquids for the next 3 days and softs for 2 days after that. I am hungry so I'm hoping these few days so by pretty fast.
  14. I am currently a Citi employee and had the surgery on 3/18/09. Since your coverage starts on day 1, you should be ok, there was no issues with Citi, i just had to work with the insurance company for approval. I believe the insurance is different from state to state. Once you pick an insurance company i would give them a call to find out what they require.
  15. My first fill isn't until May 5th. I really didn't want to wait that long, but my surgerons office is quite busy.
  16. I'm doing pretty good, i'm just finding the "mushie" stage pretty hard.
  17. I was also banded on 3/18/09.
  18. Hello everyone, i am not new to this forum, but this is my first time posting. I was also banded on the 18th of March. Everything went suprisingly well for me, just a little dehydration. I already have my first fill scheduled for May 6th. This was the best decision i ever made.
