Post op leg pain, is that normal?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I was banded on 9/30 and started experiencing leg pain before being released from the hosp. They did an ultra sound on both legs to test for blood clots, the tests were fine and I was sent home; however, my legs hurt like it does after a good workout. Has anyone else experienced this??

Thanks, any help or suggestions are appreciated. :smile2:

If you can rule out blood clots, it could be what someone on this forum said about my post op arm pain.

I am 10 days post op, but up until like the 5th day I had intense burning forearm pain in both arms. They were also VERY hot to the touch.

Someone said it could be from the after affects of the muscle relaxant they give you before surgery.

It subsided after 5 or 6 days and is completely gone now. In fact most of my pain is gone, I have maybe pain level 2 occasionally. But the gas still comes around! :smile2:

I hope it's nothing serious and temporary!

Some people get numbness in their arms and legs after the surgery because the operating tables are narrow and we are not. Soooo their weight is not well supported which leads to nerve issues. Perhaps this is what is causing your problem.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
