Help!!! my legs is numb

Recommended Posts

Ok so I notice last night that my right leg was getting numb:scared2: I would move my leg around or get up and walk it would go away for a little but then it would come right back :smile2: So I thought by this morning it would go away but it hasn't. It goes and comes but I have to be on my feet I can't sit or lay down. Has this happened to anyone? Should I be this worried? I think I will give my doctor a call. I am just scared because I am forever watching those shows and reading information on the internet which doesn't make it any better.

Thanks! :smile2: But I think you took that the wrong way I didn't mean for anyone on this website. I meant when I did a googel search the information that came up scared me even more. It's also good to talk to someone else that has or is going through the same situation you.

Personally I would go to the emergency room NOW. I woke up one morning and within minutes my right hand was numb long story short. I had a mini stroke and ended up at Mass General (top 3 neurology unit in the country) for week 3 days in ICU. I was 39.

I too would seek professional help soon, it could be from some injury to your back, and the nerve is getting damaged. Let us know how it goes. I dont think its related to the band.

Hi Bander, I was banded on the 13th and ever since i have had to go to the ER twice. First it was my right leg then my left, they did and ultrasound and found nothing, the second time they did the same thing and also found nothing! Please see a doctor as soon as possible. I don't mean to scare you but better safe than sorry. keep us posted hun :smile2:

HUGS!

I have a pinched nerve in my low back. It causes numbness in one of my legs and occasionally a deep burning, searing pain in my leg. It sucks but I'm hoping it will get better with treatment and weight loss.

Hey!

So the numb feeling I had in my right leg went away I guess the extra walking around did the trick B)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
