Pain in lower left abdomen? About three inches to the left of belly button!

Recommended Posts

I'm 2 years post-op from lap band and I've lost 125 lbs! But every now and then I get a pain in my lower abdomen on the side of my stomach where my port is. Its about 2 or three inches to left of my belly button. Its feels like a stabbing pulling pain. Almost like what you get when you run and your not quite in shape to run and you get that pain in your side. Well its the same pain, but on the front of my abdomen. I get it when I've eaten to much so I just always assumed it was just my port pulling or something and never really made a fuss about it, but today its bothering me a lot especially when I walk or lay down completly flat. Does anybody else get this and have they asked their doctor about it or know what might be going on?

I get the exact same pain and I have no idea what causes it. I do know that if I get up and move around, the pain goes away. It feels like something is poking me internally. I figure that if I can make it go away easily, it can't be anything too severe. I did mention it to my PCP (who is very knowledge about the band) and she said to let her know if it becomes a problem. She didn't think it sounded like anything to worry about.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
