Hi, everyone. My name is Ashley. I am from VA. I am 26 years old. I was banded on July 6th, 2010. I am so excited about my new life! I am looking for advice or any information you may have found helpful when you were starting out...Thanks! :smile2:

Just wanted to welcome you and congrats on your band!! Best advise I can give you is to follow the rules and make sure you have a good support group rather it's at home or by using this forum. I know the people on LBT are what helped me get to goal. They have been here for me through all my ups and a LOT of downs. Alot of times they're what kept me going. If you have questions ASK, If you just need to vent then vent. Trust me it helps. Lots of luck. OH! one more thing: BELEAVE IN YOURSELF!!!!! I can't stress this enough.

Hey guys! I'm 25 and live in Northern VA, Fairfax County area. I'm getting banded on Oct 6th  can't wait for it. I've set up all my appts except for my psych evaluation. I've called tons of drs and I get the same response "I don't do that"...quite frustrating but hopefully I can find someone soon.

We have quite a few Lap band surgeons here in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area. It is a bit more of a drive but you do have quite a few options here.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
