Joint Issues

Recommended Posts

I was banded 11 months ago. I was almost 250 lbs and now have lost almost 50 pounds. I have never had any problems with my joints. No knee pain and no hip pain. Had some trouble with my feet but that is gone. Now, I am finding that my knees pop all the time and my hips do too. Any one else have this happen? Someone at work told me that it was lack of Vitamins but I really do take all that my surgeon wants me to. Multi twice a day, Calcium three times a day, and a B complex.

I would be interested in this too. I have problems with my knees creaking a lot. It usually happens a lot in the evenings, but I hadn't had that problem before either.

It's been a few weeks since I posted this so I thought I would update. Nothing has changed but I will be going in for a fill next week. Hopefully my surgeon has some insight on this.

I have always had knee problems but I have noticed it more lately. My chiro says its cause my posture is changing, therefore all the tendons holding everything together are strugeling to keep up. I do enjoy how I feel when I go 2x a week. but that is more rare to go that often. But it obviously helps.

Hey guys I haven't had my lb yet, but have tons of joints problems-even had a hip replacement, then revision due to my muscular dystrophy. A friend of mine lots tons of weight and started having problems with her ankle. Her doc said it was a stress fracture due to her weight loss and change of posture. I'm not really sure if this helps, but I wanted to pass it along. Hope you both start feeling better. Joint pain is the worse.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
