Dr Chris De Bruyne & Frederik Serneels

Recommended Posts

If you are looking for good value, excellent care and a professional doctor/medical team in Europe, take a look at Dr Chris De Bruyne in Belgium.

To book surgery with Dr Chris contact Frederik his manager and book DIRECT at Belgium Surgery Services

They are keen for people to do this as it cuts out other problems when not booking direct e.g. Taxis not being included etc.

The Campanile in Vilvoorde.

If you book direct with Frederik then the hotels and taxis are included in the package. Less hassle and easy of you are flying or taking the train to Belgium.

Hi Claire, I am thinking about getting banded by Dr Chris, but I have had a slight set back when my Dr has told me I will end up bigger than ever if i get it. Im so upset, i was all set to go. you dont need to hear that when this seems to be your last hope.. I have heard great things about him and when i am getting it done I will definitely be going to him. Just hope i grow a pair soon and just do it

What a load of utter rubbish,

you need to visis this thread http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f11/anyone-know-dr-de-bruyne-chris-41669/index688.html

I had my band on the 30th July 2010 and since then, which is now 11 weeks, I have lost

33 pounds and 29.5 inches

I think your doctor is talking out of his  arse (sorry if this upsets anyone) What a T * * T

I think he needs to get his facts straight. The band is a tool and when you put in the right amount of good nutrition then it rewards you by helping you to lose weight. Obviously you can still eat rubbish but there are certain things that will be hard to digest and the above thread and others on the forum will help you with this.

You have to do what is right for you and only you can make that decision. Your GP is entitled to their view but they could at least be better informed about the outcomes of a gastric band.

It's the best thing I have ever done and wish I had done it earlier. There are lots of people on the other thread who will also say the same.

Dr Chris is brilliant and the team are very caring and look after you very well.

Its really easy going to beligum for the band. you have the consultation the night before surgery in brussels . The next morning you are in the hosipital having all your blood tests then the afternoon you have the op. that night you share a room with others its a room for three. then your back in the hotel for a night and back home the next moring. The its just a matter of seeing him in the uk from then on. bridget's always on the phone to talk to for help if you book though europesurgery

hi mummiesbb, i really like everything i hear about this doctor. could i ask or would you know that if he goes into perform the op and finds an ulcer or one of these haitus hernia ive been hearing about, would he just go ahead and fix it there and then. i dont mind if it costs more i just want a lapband so bad it hurts.

i hope everything is all good with you and would love to hear how your doing now and again.

Hello, I agree with you guys i booked with europesurgery and the price was the same !but at least then you have someone to talk to in the UK , its really helpful to have someone you can call when your not sure if you should be able to eat sometime or not. They are just employed by fredrick and chris because they have not got the time to sort of all the small things to do with the trip. All the money goes direct to fredrick and chris you don't pay anything to europesurgery and you get the same package but more help!

yes that what i meant all the money just goes to the surgeron when you pay the deposit and straight to the surgeon at consultation, so i think its better to book though europesurgery so that you get proper aftercare in the uk, because you can call bridget anytime you like when you get back if you are worried about anything. The price is just the same anyway.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
