Dealing with this Restriction thing....

Recommended Posts

I was banding 6 months ago and although I never went through "bandster hell" because I had 4cc from the get go but I have never had real restriction until this last fill.

I am at 7.75cc in a 10cc and boy oh boy can I feel it.

It isn't what I expected...I think I expected a nice little sign that hey you are full. Instead, I eat 5-7 bites and bamo I get a tummy ache.

Am I pushing it too far or is that my personal stop point??

How do you get your mind to stop looking at the food on your plate thinking I want to finish this! (even if it was only a 1/2 cup portion to begin with)

Right now, all I seem to want are Protein Shakes. I don't think I am too tight because I *can* eat and I am *not* PB or getting stuck.

I know after 6 months I should have this down pat but I feel like I am back to the very beginning.

Any thoughts or advice?

How long since your fill? I had my 3rd fill and two days later went through something like this. I was going to have some removed but it was the weekend so I waited it out. It eased up a little on Monday and by later that week it was much better but I cannot eat as much as I did before. I've seen several people here mention that a few days after a fill they feel problems from swelling and over-restriction...rather than at first.

try smaller bites and more time in between bites...it is hard, I sometimes have to get up and do things after a few bites, just so I won't take another bite!! I get up and do the dishes or some paperwork, etc. then come back and take a couple more bites.....

thanks.

I have it under control now. Figured out I can only do coffee or a shake before about 11am.

After that I seem to be fine to eat and I haven't slime or PB in a few weeks!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
