The price of gas is high...

Recommended Posts

...but the kind I have is free!

I am 5 weeks post op, and am suffering from an unbelievable amount of gas. No matter what I eat, I suffer afterwards. (and so does my husband) lol

I've tried Gas X, and Beano, and all they do is delay the process. I'm kept awake at night from it.

Does anyone have any suggestions at all? Pleeease?!?

Hi, I am three weeks out and I too am suffering from Gas. It did stop five days after surgery but it started up again with a vengence last week. Gas-X wasn't cutting it so I called the nutritionist and she recommended Bio-K which is a super charged drink to balance out the good and bad bacteria in the intestines due to drastic changes in diet. She wanted me on it for two weeks. I only bought five drinks, not two weeks worth, and did get relief after two days. I ran out of drinks, went to get more and the health food store was closed. I forgot to pick them up yesterday and today my gas is back. I am sitting at work and I am so uncomfortable. I am not sure if the Bio-K works or not, could be a coincidence, but I am going to pick some more up today.

M.

Your post made my day!

Walking around abit can really help- I find Gas-x and a little moving around really helped.

Good luck!

Im a year out and still suffer from it BAD. I have learned to control it a bit. Drinking through straws and chewing gum are my enemies! They give me massive gas pains. I get them mainly in my left shoulder. Also if I sit for longer than an hour, I get massive gas pains. Its just weird. After surgery, the gas was the worst part. My friends who have had the surgery have not suffered from it like I have. Again, I still get it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
