I need to call the electric company myself. I live in a 863 square foot house now it is on the third floor, but my electric bill was 183? Really? It is just me? I have no pool, no cool appliances, a teeny weenie house, but a huge bill. We did have a bunch of 95+ degree days with heat indexes way over 105 but still...... I live in a tiny place!! Then with what Pamela said I thought even more so that mine was almost 1/3 of hers and she has about 3 or 4 times the space of me and a pool and she lives in the DESSERT!!!!!!!!! (Okay Desert) What is wrong with this picture???? The more I write the angrier I get...........

Janie... the square footage of my house is double yours and with a pool pump going 24/7 and the a/c this summer.. our bill this time was $160 Hate to make you angrier, but boy, that's a lot of money you pay for electricity!!

I'm up early for therapy again and then a check up at the doctors. I see a nap after that.

Off to take a pain pill and get my workout clothes on.

Everyone have a great day!

Happy Rosh Hashanah! Well, my kids are 1/2 Jewish, so, Happy Rosh! :couch2:

No school today... the kids are still sleeping... school makes them extra tired... I love school! :blushing:

I've got my annual dermatologist app't this morn, and ds has his annual eye dr app't this afternoon, & dd would like to ride at some point today (but then again, she would like to do that every day, so that's really not news, huh).

Am swamped w/work, which is good, but I never feel "done".

2 weeks 2 weeks 2 weeks 2 weeks 2 weeks 2 weeks 2 weeks!!! So excited!!

Buenos Dias Chicas~

Yeah, our electric bill is really a problem, but hopefully the $1200 (thought it was 1400) will help lower our bills. EVERYONE swears that a multispeed pool pump is the way to go! We'll see!

Susanne has to go to CPR class on the Saturday ya'll are here. That sucks, but that was the "pool" lazy day anyway, then we can all go to dinner Sat night.

Jane, call the electric company and have them come out and check your meter. It is worth a try. Do you have condos on top of you? If not, that could be the problem, since heat rises.

Today is the doc apt (yeah) and then my friend is supposed to come over and help build this power point that I need. She flaked Tues and Wed, so if not today, I'll do it myself this weekend and will not share, haha!

Michelle, why no school? Because of the New Year? School closes for that? Enjoy the quiet morning.

Everyone have a great day!

Good morning, Violets..

Back from therapy. It's never as traumatic now as it used to be. I'm tired of the numbers, they fluctuate so much. As long as I can bend the thing and am not in too much pain, I'm happy. I go see the doctor in a little bit to see what he says. I hope he doesn't try and bend it beyond what I can do right now!!! It will be a long wait in his office. He's never on time unless it's first thing in the morning. I'll probably be there a couple of hours, but when I come home it will be nap time!! wooo hooooooo!!

Will check back later...

Good morning.

I do need to call the electric company.

It is a dreary yucky day here.

I am trying to get motivated.

I like the happy 'Rosh'!!!

Off for coffee and shower and changing of the ink cartridges......

Hate fighting over bills :blushing:

I'm glad you have your mind made up and are doing it quick. I can't wait til you're on the other side!

Michelle, way to go on the 5 lbs! That's awesome! I found ten of them! I blame it all on sophia, lol. It can't possibly be all the cake and ice cream I eat! Lol...

I'm so ready for three weekend! I'm tired and want to sleep sleep sleep...

am I a late arrival? I don't remember... I loved the buffet at the casino so I'm looking forward to that, lol.

LOL, I think Michelle, Laura and Haydee are 11am arrivals, and Judy and Janie are 12:20 arrivals. In my mind it works out...haha, but a couple of you know, this is a small town...can't REALLY get too lost, too late or too far behind here!

Which casino is it again? I know someone emailed but I can't find it. If I'm 11am arrival (news to me haha), I'll probably end up at the casino, even if I don't have money to play I can make $20 last a long time there and it passes time pretty quick. And if it's a chain casino I may have coupons!

So I'm having anxiety over mexican food. Baby #2 loves pico de gallo, and we go to mexican once a week. Yesterday we going and Russ goes to TGIFriday (yuck) instead. I was so thrown off, I was counting down that morning till pico!!!

I told him today is mexican, PERIOD. And an hour ago daycare called, Carson is sick. So now I'm at home in my jammies while he naps. When I got him he is happy and playing, and she goes 'it may just be acid reflux, does he have reflux?? (yes), oh that's probably it, but DHR says he has to be home 24 hours from vomit'. WEE.

And I feel like I could die from lack of pico.

Oops and WOW on the 5lb Michelle! Way to stay balanced. I keep thinking about how I need motivation, and I am going to ask you guys for help, then I realize nothing anyone can say will help me. You know how if you don't eat all day and you're STARVING... I feel like that about 7 hours of my waking day.

Doesn't matter how much I eat, I never feel full or even satiated. I am so hungry all day long, it is ridiculous.

I keep trying to pump up the Protein & Fiber esp. in the morning, trying to remember the 'old rules' for feeling fuller longer, but it doesn't even keep me full 30 minutes!!!

I think I have the arrivals correct. You may land at 11am, but it will be about 45 min until you get to the casino (you'll have to take a cab or the shuttle) but it is about 3 miles away. Once you eat, you may have a little time to play. I ONLY play a 20 once in a while, but it should keep you busy, haha.

Good afternoon, Violets..

Doctor appointment went very well. He said he was very pleased with my progress and that was a big relief to me. He also bent my knee, but not so much that I was gritting my teeth like last time. I had a nice nap and was awakened by Grady and Kris. She was stopping off to pick up her laundry before heading to zoomba.

I have chocolate chip Cookies and butternut squash baking in the oven. We're having squash and BLT's with fresh tomatoes from our garden. yummy!

On the 23rd...are we all going to the casino or just the early arrivals?? Are we going in separate cabs?? I'm confused.

The Bobster is golfing, but should be home in a half hour. Squash should be done by then. Tonight is Project Runway.. woo hooo!!

Tomorrow is therapy, ladies luncheon and then Bob and I are headed to Mackinaw City to have dinner with Kris and Nathan who are spending the weekend up there. I'm guessing we might get a grandchild announcement a few weeks after this weekend.. Ok.. so I'm hoping!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
