Shrinking violets- part 6!!!

Recommended Posts

Wow.. we're quiet Violets today!!

I had therapy this morning and it went very well. Therapist said I should be done the end of the month. Wooo hoooooo!!

After therapy I came home and changed and went to the Farmer's market with Kris and Grady. There was a local news reporter there and she took pictures of Grady eating a plum. Hopefully the picture will get in the local paper. After that we went out to lunch , then I came home and took a nice nap. I have choir in a little while. Bob is at work, but he'll be home in time for dinner together after choir. Our second candidate for interim minister will be here today and tomorrow. The staff will be meeting with him tomorrow morning. The first guy was disappointing. He showed up in a yucky tee shirt and sweat pants. He said he was on vacation when he got the call to come and interview with us. WHAT?? You can't stop somewhere and buy a shirt and pair of pants for an important interview??? He could have been the best as far as pastors go, but dang, I can't get past the appearance. Hopefully this next guy will know how to present himself.

Off to get ready for choir....

Hope everyone is having a great day. One week from today at this time I'll be on my way to Detroit and then California!!! Can't wait!!!!!

Man, I've worked my ass off (and yet it is still there) on this project. What a long week! I am leaving in a few minutes and am so excited that I get to go workout and get a flu shot! I stayed up late and got my papers done...so I get to read and watch TV tonight!

BB finale tonight, Pam! Who do you think it'll be? DD & I are rooting for Lane.

One week from tonight I'll be all packed and ready to go! Did I tell you all that I thought I had to be at the airport at 6:30am, BUT... it turns out that I read it wrong... my plane LEAVES at 6:30am... so I have to get there by 4:30, which means leaving here by 3:30, which means getting up by 2:30 A.M.!! Only for you girlies... and a fantastic weekend getaway! Good thing I can sleep on planes!

Hey Girls~

I was happy with the BB finale. Lane or Hayden was fine with me...JUST NOT ENZO! I don't trust a grown man who calls himself "Meow Meow". that is just weird.

One week...yeah!!!

Got back to school night tonight! I'll be gone until 8:30pm...LOOOONNNNGGGG DAAAYYY!

Everyone make it a good one...one week from tonight, we will be at Las Casuelas, enjoying a grande margi (those of us who aren't preggos or who want), and then cruising the street fair!!! Can't wait!

I have one king bed, one queen and a couch (haydee slept there last year) or a airbed...ya'll need to pick where you want to rest your weary heads!! It is not the Ritz...but it IS a VIOLET TRIP!

Good morning!!

Yesterday was slow both places, makes for a longer day than normal!!

I agree with you Pamela about BB, I would have rather seen Lane, but am OK with Hayden, but Enzo? He is odd.... Meow Meow, Really???

I can't believe that little girl didn't win on AGT. I taped it last night, didn't see the whole thing, but read on Facebook last night who won. But, for anyone who watches, I was appalled that Sarah Brightman did NOT hold that little girls hand!! The little girl put her hand around hers and held it, and Sarah, just let the girl hold it and had her hand open. It was odd. Was she jealous? Certainly not of a little girl?? But wow!! I was hurt for that little girl!!

There was too much on to watch when I got home last night!! Survivor, BB, and AGT, and watch all but the last half hour of agt. Like I said got on facebook and somebody posted who won right when I got home from work!!!

Oh well, off to do some stuff around here. Still no real positive feedback from my hair, but no negative either. That whole thing strikes me as odd also!!

Good afternoon, Violets..

Just back from a meeting with the interim candidate for the church. I sure hope he's the one they pick. I was very impressed.

Janie... I LOVE your new hair style!!:smile:

As for sleeping arrangements... I'm good for the couch.. I slept on the couch here for weeks after the knee surgery. Not sure I could get up from the air bed!! :alien:

One week from today I'll be a few hours from California. It's cold and rainy here today. I'm counting on great weather while we're there PamELa!!!!

Off to find some lunch and then a short nap. I have a flute rehearsal at 2.

Everyone have a great day!

Hey Violets..

I need some prayers sent for our son Joe. He had a panic attack 80 feet up on the oil rig and they fired him on the spot. Said they couldn't risk him hurting himself or others so no second chance. This was his dream job with good salary and benefits. Now he is back to square one in the job hunt and they have already signed a lease on a house he's not going to be able to afford. It is so hard being so far away and not able to give him a hug and tell him it will be ok.

Judy,

So sorry to hear about Joe! This is terrible, panic attacks are no laughing matter. Are they in an industrious area with other job opportunities!

xoxo

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
