Bandiversary Goal?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! Our 'bandiversary' is closing in! Mine will be exactly 8 weeks tomorrow. Do you have a goal in mind? I begrudgingly report that I have slacked off completely and gained 11 lbs! OY! But, I am back on track. I have a couple of solid days under my belt and I already feel better! I had really been snacking up a storm complete with slider foods. A great plan if I want to GAIN weight. Since that is NOT the goal I had in mind when I had surgery, I think I will go back to doing what I am supposed to do!!!!!

So anyhoo, now that I have confessed and updated my ticker to reflect the damage.... Here is my new goal for my bandiversary!

Current Weight 182.6

Bandiversary Goal 158.9

Final Goal 139

Anyone else???

hey lisa (and all who view)

i, like you, had started snacking like crazy, i mean serious snacking, all sliders too. my goal was always to lose 100lbs by my bandivesary. that is still my goal. i have about 10 weeks left so i think thats more than enough time to hit 245.

this is a good thread too. we can see how many people hit their first year goals just like we all did the countdown on surgery dates.

I don't do real well with "goals" because if I don't make it then I fall of the wagon badly...lol. Let's just say that I would love to be down 75 lbs by my bandiversarry on 7/7. I've already lost 58 so that seems pretty reasonable to me. Of course, if you had asked me this question last July, I would have been a bit more optimistic. This is not an easy journey we have started but oh so sweet and far easier that the thousands of "diets' and heartbreak that have come before. Good luck to you all!!!

i totally agree, i just wish we were as chatty as we were pre-band. it really made going into sugery alot easier to have that extra support.

i got another fill yesterday and im hoping it just the swelling that is causing the extra burps etc. i really want to hit my goal, i think that will be just what i need to keep pushing to being under 200lbs.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
