I got my surgery date booked for July 2nd and so far everything looks good (crossing fingers...). What about you guys, anybody else getting banded this coming July?

Right now I'm busy soaking up information and I came across some great blogs of people I could relate to. Thanks to them and to the nice people on this forum, while I'm still a little apprehensive I now have a much better understanding of the journey that awaits me. Not to mention some great tricks and recipes! I have some unused vacation time that I'll be taking after the surgery, it should make for an interesting summer!

Hello. I am scheduled for sometimes in July, the 30th is the date given. Depending on if my insurance will do the final approval it could be sooner than that. I have done everything needed so I am just waiting on the insurance company to work their magic..lol I am so nervous about it, but very excited to start this journey to a new me. Met with the dietician today. I'm kinda' freaking out now... She talked a lot about vomit - don't think she was head cheerleader in school... because she certainly wasn't very encouraging or inspiring!

My surgery is July 7th

Okay this guy I used to mess with (4yrs known) , he's all like he think I should wait and try to lose weight on my own first before I make rational decisions. First of all 2 yrs ago he claimed if he hadn't just gotten out of a relationship he would be with me. He played this lil games of saying I love you's;then when I caught feelings he had the NERVE to say..I don't like you like THAT I thought we were friends. now in 2010 he has this girlfriend he been with for 2 yrs that he previously lied about. He hits me up on IM all the time telling me i'm beautiful and blah blah.all I have to say is.I'm getting fit and fab, and will he have a chance? NO. He want to be FRIENDS, sure I can be FRIENDS because my feelings for him has been caught in the wind somewhere. I bet he is going to SO wish he never let a good woman like me go. And I SO can't wait to turn some heads. I want to be fierceeee by my birthday Jan 3rd!!!

YEA! Im SOO excited to finally be able to join this group!! I have been waiting for almost 8 months~ damn insurance and requiring 6 month diet program AND loose 5% body weight.

BUT I did it:thumbup: and now have a surgery date for JULY 19th!!! They wouldnt even give me a date until insurance approved it! And my luck they orignal date they gave me was July 27th then they called back 2 days later with the earlier date!! YEA:thumbup:

Hey there everyone! I am a newbie and I just received my approval letter on 6-20! i am so excited this has been a six month journey to get that magical piece of paper!!

I hope to hear from the doc's office in the next day or two to get my actual surgery date I expect it to be sometime in July. Would love to keep in touch during this process!!! Good luck to everyone!!:thumbup:

Me too!! My insurance required the 6 month diet, 5% weight loss, psyc eval, nutritionist. I was sweating it because I was 1.8 lbs off of my 5% so I was afraid I would be denied, but I just received my approval letter!!! I have to admit I am a little nervous not a bad nervous just healthy nervous I think probably more excited. I should have my surgery date in the next couple of days!:Banane20:

You go girl, do this for you and no one else. He had his chance, you will look amazing and when you turn heads he will be in the back ground going.. man oh man, I should've hung on to that one. Good luck in your weight loss!
