Hope to be banded in June

Recommended Posts

I have researched the LAP-BAND® for years....and I am now finally here. I currently have 2 insurances and I have received approval from both. My one on one consultation with Dr Mirande is on May 19th and I am hoping to be banded on June 4, 2010. I can't wait to begin this journey, it has been a long time coming!!

I'm somewhat in the same situation. I've done a lot of research on the Lap Band, and this past Tuesday, my doctor gave me the go-ahead and termed the procedure "medically necessary", which clears the path for my insurance to cover the procedure. I should be meeting with the plans weight loss counselors next week, and with any kind of luck, I want to be banded by mid June. This has been a long time coming, but I am convinced that this is the best way to go.

Congratulations on getting to this point!! Be sure to take before photos and your measurements now if you haven't already! You will definitely want them later.

All the best,

Catherine

Time for Mom,

My insurance approval was in one week, second insurance less than 2 weeks. Wish you luck on getting approval soon. And yes of course we can journey together.

Also....I am totally taking pictures!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
