  1. 1. How do you calculate the time from meal to meal?

Do you still check to see how long it takes you to eat?

Do you calculate the hours between meals from the end of Breakfast, for example, to the beginning of lunch?

Or from the beginning of Breakfast to the beginning of lunch? ?

Do you just eat when you're hungry?

Does any of this make sense? LOL

Debbie

I don't really calculate how long it takes me to eat, and I just eat when I'm hungry, which is usually 3 times a day, sometimes 2, sometimes 4... I just listen to my body now, when before I'd eat all day.

I time nothing, calculate nothing, weigh nothing, measure nothing ........

I try to choose the right types of food, eat when I am hungry, chew my food well and go on with life. The weight still comes off.

I eat when I am hungry and make healthy food choices....always. I try to make every day well-balanced and that seems to work for me. I never feel deprived. I now have absolutely no unhealthy cravings and only crave wholesome/healthy foods.

Some days I have 6-8 healthy meals...other days 3-4. I believe the trick is to eat when you are hungry and not let yourself get so famished that you set yourself up for a binge.

being 2 years post-of, i know my band well enough to know when i need to eat. i know if i eat an entirely high Protein meal it will last longer than if i eat carbs or liquids (soups). most of the time you need to rely only on eating when you're hungry BUT you have to make sure you're getting in enough protein too.

I THINK IT DEPENDS ON YOUR PERSONALITY OR LEARNING STYLE....FOR EXAMPLE, I AM A STRUCTERED PERSON OUTSIDE OF EATING....I LIKE TO HAVE A PLAN OR OUTLINE TO FOLLOW WHILE LISTENING TO MY BODY...BUT THIS IS ABOUT RETRAINING YEARS OF DOING IT WRONG, NOT LISTENING TO YOUR BODY, AND NUMBING EMOTIONS WITH FOOD...SO, THAT IS A PROCESS AND WILL TAKE TIME. THE LITERAL PART OF IT, IS EASY....IT'S THE DEEPER MEANING BEHIND YOUR EATING THAT YOU HAVE TO WORK ON.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
