How much did you lose from TT?

Recommended Posts

I am curious.... I am getting a full TT in May and was wondering how much the excess skin that is removed would weigh. For those that have had a TT, how much did your weight change preop to post op?

thanks

I was at a BMI of 25, so I was at a goal weight and there was mostly skin and very little fat to remove. I had inverted T abdominoplasty and 2 kg of tissue was removed.

However, the muscle repair and tightening has resulted in further restriction than just that offered by my band and I have lost further weight due to that restriction.

My BMI is now 24.1 and I am delighted. I was banded on 17th December 2007 and I had the abdominoplasty on 12th February 2010.

For those considering abdominoplasty - you can't take vigorous exercise for 4-6 weeks post op and that, in addition to the pain relief drugs, can REALLY result in problems with elimination, if you know what I mean. Constipation resulted in an apparent significant weight gain :thumbup:(and then loss - AAAAAAAAAAAAahhhhhhhhhhhhh - thank goodness).

I had surgery yesterday and he said he removed 5 lbs from my tummy and a half pound from each thigh. He kept saying a "small thigh lift, and a small tummy tuck" so I am guessing that most people have greater amounts of weight removed.

Last year I had a lower body lift and a breast lift with augmentation and it resulted in about 5 lbs. of skin being removed.

Good luck.

I had an extended TT and he removed 19lbs. And then 8 lbs from my arms. I've lost almost 200 since the day of Banding and still have more to lose. I'll return for a revision and an anchor cut when I get to goal. I needed to have my panni removed so that I could get relief from chronic back pain. It's worked and I am very active now and the weight is dropping pretty quickly.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
