Here's the website. As for should we be doing it...the first line on the site says it all: Have you lost control of your weight loss surgery tool?

Generally when it is suggested that someone does a pouch test, it's because that person has fallen away from what they're supposed to be doing and this is just a good way to get them back to it.

When I found myself losing my way, I did a cleansing fast for 3 days. I think it's whatever works for you.

Hi Elfie,

Thank you! I was just curious what this was all about. So cool that this is an option for us if we get to that point!!

Hi Melissa. I actually did the pouch test (Thursday of last week to Monday) and I did notice a bit of a difference. I really wasn't making bad choices, but started to have cravings, so I thought it would be a good detox method to get me back to basics. Not only that, I can definitely tell I'm staying fuller longer for some reason. My portion sizes as I mentioned yesterday were quite small except for lunch which was about 10 ounces, but we'll see how today goes.

I will say that it helped to move the scale for me. I was stuck at 184-185 and kept playing the roller coaster game to 182-183. I weighed in this morning at 180 (Monday was 181), so I'm going to hold onto this for dear life LOL!

WOOHOO!!!!! That's awesome! I am hoping that this fill did the trick to help getting me moving DOWN on the scale again. I wasn't gaining (thank goodness) but I had only lost 2 pounds since October and since Friday, I am down 3 more!!! YAY! So excited! Keep up the good work! You are seriously rockin that scale!

Do you have to buy the pouch test manual to do the test? Is that how it's done? I saw it in the 5daypouchtest.com

No, I just followed the instructions on the site and I have to say, it worked for me :-)! Good luck!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
