Why Did We Do Sleeve If We Must Keep Our Selves In Special Diet
Ugh the puppy ate my note! Okay we'll try this again. Until you reach goal you should stay away from it. For me with the exception of ice cream foods with refined sugars do not seem to trigger a feeling of restriction so they are easy to overeat. I do indulge once in a while but make sure that I eat some dense protein first so that I am feeling fullish so I won't eat too much.

Vitamin Question - Need Help Please
I am over a year and a half out I take a multi, calcium, B super complex and D3 everyday. You are suppose to take them with food I still drink a protein shake every morning and take mine with it. You are not suppose to take a multi and calcium together. I also take a B12 three times a week.

I Find The Operation Stupid
Your stomach isn't completely done healing until the 6th or seventh month so day 40 is very early in the process. After month six it is pretty much eat whatever or as you put it normal and feel full after smaller portions but there are rules you will need to follow such as eat protein always first. There will always be foods that unfortunately you will be able to gorge on sliders refined sugars..... As for now just a month out breads, pastas, rice, and pretty much anything high starch or fat will not sit well with your new stomach. You should pretty much stick to soups and proteins but don't except to eat more then one egg, or an ounce of dense protein like chicken or beef in a meal or a 1/2 cup of soup. There is a learning curve to your new stomach it takes time and be patient.

Biotin And L-Lysine Question
I was extremely worried about my hair too I have very thin and fine hair so the thought of losing any had me so freaked out. I started to take biotin (I want to say 650mg it was the highest amount I found at Walmart), multis and some collogen supplements I found a month before surgery. I also started using Nioxin shampoo/conditioner system 4 "for noticibly thinning color treated hair) still use it it is great and I swear by it. I also worked extra hard on getting in my protein post op. I ended up with little to no hair lose which I consider a minor miracle because normally the smallest amount of stress physically or emotionally makes me lose hair.

What Size Am I!?
My sizing can be all over the map too. I wear mostly a large (10-12) on top and small to medium (2-6) on the bottom. I have several silk blouses that I bought years ago in my twenties size 8 and larges that I kept over the years hoping to one day fit in them and there still is no way I can wear them too small it is called vanity sizing so to make matters worse there are no standards to sizing.

Damn Was I Really That Big?
You looked good then but now look fantastic! It has been a year and a half since my sleeve and I am still shocked whenever I run across a picture of me at my fatest and at the time I had no idea how big I had gotten. My husband has said the same thing that he never saw it until he looked at before and afters. The other day I bought some sweatpants that were on sale they were only in sizes xl and up but I figured I'd buy a couple of xl to work out in so what if they were lose yeah right they won't stay up.

Bariatric Advantage For Sale
Save them once you are a little further out you can just cut them up and swallow them like a regular vitamin. Also if you are not taking them with food try having something in your stomach with them. You can also take half in the am and half at night (they say we pee out a lot of the full dose of vitamins anyway so it might give you more bang for a buck).

Unable To Exercise O:(
I am a big time walker I love it and it definitely works for me. Start slowly if your leg prevents you from walking at a brisk pace then walk on hills. Same with the treadmills you can burn just as many calories as a runner with a bit of an incline.

A Harry Potter Nsv
Hi all, Today I reached a major personal NSV. We have been planning on going to Universal Orlando and visit the Harry Potter attraction. When they first opened there was talk about the seats on one ride being small. They made the outer seat larger so overweight people could ride but they were still small and it was a bit of a stigma if you had to sit there because "everyone knows" Well today I got on the ride I was alone because I was the only one brave enough to ride. The seat that was available was an end seat but an attendant had me switch seats to an inner one so the other person could be more comfortable!!!!!!!

When will my hair loss slow down?
Typically it slows down when the rapid weight loss slows down about 6-8 months. I was lucky in that I lost very little I took biotin from about 3 weeks before surgery and am still taking it. I also swear by Nioxin shampoo and conditioner system 4 "for noticeably thinning hair" I also took a B complex.

How long on Protein Drinks/Supplements?
The supplements you need to take forever. I am over a year out and still drink a protein shake every morning. Like the others I mix it up some days adding fruit and sf syrups. I also will make sf pudding with a scoop of protein and then add a quarter cup of it to my shake to give it a thicker consistency.

How long on Protein Drinks/Supplements?
The supplements you need to take forever. I am over a year out and I drink a protein shake every morning like the others I mix them up sometimes adding fruit and SF syrups or make sf free puddings with a scoop of protein and add a 1/4 cup to my shakes to make them thicker more shake like. The shakes are not required but it is what works best for me especially with my workouts and my higher protein needs.

Not mentally prepared...
The first few weeks are rough and nothing like how things will be once your sleeve is fully healed and matured. Once you progress to eating mushies things get a lot easier. Just hang in there.

Thinking of backing out
Hi, I think everyone has second and third thoughts as surgery gets closer. I'd be worried if you didn't this is a big decision and no one but you can make it. Keep researching and asking questions and remember you do not have to make the final decision until 12-7.

Loss of friends
I haven't lost any but there is a distance now with my obese friends. I think it is equally as much my fault as theirs there just isn't any guide book one in particular will drag me into plus size stores where we both use to shop which now has nothing in my size and when we go to a regular store I feel self conscious looks at the smaller sizes. She makes "comments" all the time framed as a joke calling me a twig and other things.
