Anyone else had migraines improve?

OK I may be jinking myself, but I used to have a migraine every month (TOM) and sometimes in between. I have only one since surgery almost 3 months ago and despite having had 4 periods since then! Does losing weight improve migraines generally? What is your experience?

I haven't had my surgery yet but I have talked to my doctor about this. I have severe migraines! He told me that generally what the studies have shown is that a high percentage of bariatric patients see most or all migraines cured post surgery! I am hoping for this! Best of luck!

I was getting one every week before surgery, so far I have had only one and it was alot milder.

My migraines and general headaches have actually gotten worse since surgery :(

I'm just about 9 months out and i have to say that my migraines used to run my life. Since surgery, I can tell you that I do not even carry my meds with my any more. I still take Topomax, but I did go 2 months without it because I didn't have the cash to get a refill, and nothing! it is great!!!

I haven't had my surgery yet, but I have noticed that since I have started paying attention to my diet and exercise that my migraines and regular headaches have lessened. This make me very happy and I hope it continues after surgery next Wednesday!

I don't have nearly as many as I did and when I do they are more like regular headaches.
