  1. I have to be honest. I don't exercise other than walking at my job or getting my dogs out to play. I did exercise for about a month or two back right after I had surgery in Feb. 2010. I do run/walk in some races every once in awhile, but I don't train for them or anything. I plan on getting back into things once it warms up, but I have lost over 90 pounds not really exercising, and I only like maybe 10 or so pounds from being at my goal. Everyone is different.
  2. I have been really frustrated lately. I am about a year out from surgery so I am somewhat tight. I don't eat Breakfast, but I will sometimes have a little something at about 9 or 10 in the morning. Well I don't get hungry, and I don't feel like eating anything until 1 or after. I could literally go all day without eating. I just don't feel like eating. I'm not hungry in the mornings, and I am rarely hungry at lunch time. I do try to eat lunch, but I am having problems with finding things to eat. What do you suggest eating for lunch? Today I had egg salad. We have a local place that has a lunch special, and they usually have some sort of Soup that I will eat. I don't think leftovers would sit very well with me. It seems everything I eat tastes so nasty. Like I will crave something, but it tastes so nasty after only a couple bites. My taste has changed dramatically. Anyone else experience this? Anyway, sorry for rambling. I just wanted some lunch ideas. Thanks so much!
  3. Am I the only one that misses eating like that? I'm not meaning the quanity of food , but how big of bites and how fast they can eat. I was always a fast eater, and I took big bites. I still have trouble sometimes following these rules, and I pay for it .
  4. Well I celebrated my one year banding on Feb. 8 so I wanted to check to see how everyone who had surgery in Feb. 2010 is doing? I have lost 90 pounds, and I am about 10 pounds or so from goal. I still "feel" big. I guess that takes awhile to go away. I do sometimes miss being able to eat certain things like a turkey sandwich, but overall I'm very happy.
  5. I don't measure any food ever. I just put a little on my plate, and I can usually tell when I am full because I feel if I take another bite that I will be in some pain!
  6. I would drink with and right after my meals up until last July or August (I had surgery in Feb.), but now I absolutely cannot drink while eating or even about an hour after eating. If I do, I will be in major pain.
  7. I would wait until you reach your goal. I started out in a DD bra, and I have lost 90 pounds, and I am still in a DD bra. Mine went nowhere but I'm not complaining. LOL.
  8. You cannot feel the band itself. After the pain subsides, it won't feel that way. You will definitely "feel" the band once you get stuck for the first time. I'm not sure I should say you will feel the band because it really isn't the band you are feeling when you are stuck. Hope that makes sense.
  9. Mine never did. I was always normal. I do notice since I've lost a bunch of weight, my hormones are messed up. Some days I can be mad at the world even if there isn't anything bothering or upsetting me. It's strange.
  10. Hardly any food tastes good to me anymore. It's weird.
  11. This is what I take. I don't think it is helping me get regulated, but when I do go it is a lot easier.
  12. That is strange. Mine this time around might actually be from hurting my back. Every since my last fill last week, everything I've eaten or drank has hurt. I finally took some Advil, and it seems better. Also, I accidentally drank carbonation on Saturday night, and I thought I was going to die. It hurt so bad. I didn't know the punch had ginger ale in it. Boy did it hurt. I think that may have irritated everything.
  13. I take Fiber gummies from VitaFusion to help with this, but if I really need to go, I take Milk of Magnesia. I only do this in rare cases.
  14. I was going to ask the same thing. I got filled last Wednesday, and it seems everything I eat or drink hurts going down. I thought I may be too tight, but in my experience I have loosened up somewhat after a couple weeks so I think I will try to stick it out.
  15. Mine passes once the food finally goes down. It is just like an annoying aching pain.
  16. Hehe. Mine doesn't get renewed until 2013 so I guess I will have to wait. I never did change my weight on there last time so it says 145.
  17. It does get better, but mine does hurt some still especially if I turn or twist a certain way.
  18. I have noticed since I am pretty tight now that when I get stuck my back hurts. Please tell me someone else experiences this or is it just my back? I hurt my lower back a few weeks ago, but this hurts up in the middle of my back like between the shoulders. Just curious if anyone else had this experience.
  19. "Free" fills for the first year (I got one a month, and tomorrow will be my last "free" one). It is $100 for a fill if I need one. I hope that I won't for awhile because I need to lose only 15-20 more pounds.
  20. I am a little worried about this as well, but I just don't feel like eating. I don't have breakfast, and I eat maybe 1/2 cup for lunch and dinner. I do have a snack in the afternoon, and I do most of my eating after dinner (which isn't good).
  21. I can easily go 5 hours without eating. I don't eat breakfast at all, and sometimes I won't eat anything until 12 or 1. Also, I don't measure my food. I just get a little of whatever I'm having, and eat until I feel that feeling that if I eat another bite it is going to hurt.
  22. I worried a little as well. I've heard if you get heartburn while laying down at night that that could mean it has slipped. I do that on occasion so I kinda worried about it, but I think it is what I eat .
  23. You will know when you get stuck. I have a sharp pain, and it hurts. Sometimes it is really bad, but that isn't too often. I have found something that helps me. It sounds weird, but I kinda jog in place. It seems when I jump around like that it helps it go down really fast.
  24. I do eat them on occasion. I can only eat half of one, however.
  25. Also forgot to mention. At supper I can usually eat more. If I am eating soup like I did tonight, I may get in over 1/2 cup. Solid food it is less than 1/2 cup or right at 1/2 cup.
