  1.    MENA reacted to a post in a topic: Has anyone ever had a band leak?
  2. Yes, this post helped me too! Thank you!!
  3. When I went to see my surgeon for my fill. he had trouble pulling out my previous fill, said I might have a leak. Has anyone else ever had something similar or had a leak?
  4. Thanks, that helps! Has that changed as you have gotten fills and lost weight? (Congrats on the awesome loss by the way! I only lost 2 ponds after my first fill, hoping my second fill helps, got it yesterday.)
  5. I am still fairly new to this process, and have been asking lots of questions that I did not think to ask before surgery during nutrition counseling. When do you stop eating? What does it feel like when you are done? I used to think I had to feel pain to know I was done (Iknow, stupid)...Do you measure everything or start off with small portions and eat until you feel...What?
  6. Went in for my second fill today. Had 2 cc's 4 weeks ago, and have had some restriction but not much and very little weight loss. So my surgeon went in to give me a second fill today...He always aspirates (pulls out) the old fill first so he knows exactly how much he is putting in total - and the old fill, the original 2 cc's did not come out! He said not to worry, something could be holding it back, a leak is rare, we would check it in four weeks at my next fill. But I am freaking out!!! Help! Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?
  7. Thanks everybody. Sounds like I need to exercise more, watch my carbs, and be patient until my first fill. Has anyone else hit a long plateau this early though?
  8. I know! I am hoping there is some movement before my fill in less than two weeks, otherwise I will be at the same weight as my two week post op (or close to it). Good luck on the food transition...shortly after going from liquids to soft food, my loss stopped... GRRR!
  9. Honk - I was only on a restricted 1200 cal diet for two weeks before surgery, lost 4 pounds, then the 12 since surgery. But no loss for two weeks! Wondering if this could be due to transition from liquids to soft diet?
  10. Wow, so glad I found this post! I was banded on Nov 30, and have been on a "soft diet" since week three. I've lost 12 pounds since surgery, but NONE in the past two weeks. Was feeling like a failure, despite following the rules, simce the two people I know who have been banded didn't hit a plateau for months! Glad to hear I am not alone in this, and hoping it does not go on much longer! My first fill is Jan 11...
  11. Hi, everyone! I was banded on November 30, and did really well for about 3 weeks - down 12 pounds! But I am approaching my 5 week mark post surgery, and have been at the same weight for twoo weeks! No one else I know has plateaued this early! Help!!
