Is a binge normal?
I can most definately relate. I got a fill (first fill) 2 and half weeks ago and during the first couple of days I had restriction and got down to 229!, then I realized I could eat what I wanted again and so did so. Lately, I have been falling back into my old habits of sweets every night. It's been bad, real bad. But I am not going to get myself down. I know that that behavior cannot continue if I plan to lose more weight. I also know that I am going to lose more weight. I plan to get a second fill Monday after next. I firmly believe that this will bring me proper restriction so that I can get back on track. In the mean time, I'll focus on limiting the sweets, drinking more Water and working out. I'm also going to check out for that book cause I know I have some type of wierd relationship with food. I'm sick of coming home every night stuffing my face full of Cookies, etc.

FIRST FILL TODAY AT 3PM EST
Today I have a three pm appointment to be filled for the first time. It will only be 5ccs, so hopefully that will give me enough restriction to continue my weight loss journey and lose another 30 lbs. Does anybody have suggestions, positive fill day stories, stories of weight loss restarting with the fill. Anything positive would be great right now. Thanks in advance!!

In need of a pick-me-up!
Ladies you are so not alone. I don't really think of my stresses as the reason I'm eating, I think my ass is just greedy. I work two jobs and in grad school (taking the worst class with the worst teacher now) I was banded 12/28/10 and am experiencing BANDSTER HELL!! I have no restriction and can pretty much eat everything I ate before. My vice was sweets so that is a major problem for me. I have an appointment at end of the week and am so looking forward to getting a fill. Not that it's going to make me produce asexually or end world wars, but it's a change from what's going on now so maybe I'll psych myself out and be more concerned about maintaining the band and not getting sick and choose not to eat the way I have for those reasons, instead of I'm not gonna eat that cause it's bad. I really do not like this phase of the plan cause I feel a bit hopeless. But miraculously I have been rather positive. I am going to be in a wedding in May and know I will get down to 199 as I planned. I just know it I'm gonna get there. Ladies, when you get a chance. FRIEND ME. I could use all the support I can get. I wish you all, all the best.

About 6 weeks out I started noticing that I can eat more. I have fallen back to eating sweets, soda. I really really want to get back on track. Hopefully will be able to get a fill next week. A bit depressed...
I am 7 weeks post op and can pretty much eat anything WHICH I DREAD.. I am finding that I am eating more, and returning to seeking out sweets every night. I REALLY HATE THIS. I have hit a plateau (around 26lbs lost so far and would like to lose more but can't shake this feeling. When I eat something I know shouldn't have, I just think about regaining all the weight I lost, yet I still want to eat something sweet. I feel really guilty about it and say I'll do better the next day, but still I end up eatin something sweet again. Is anybody else dealing or dealt with this? I want to continue to lose weight. I don't want to fail.

Exercise and Eating for Maximum Results
Hi Again, So I am 6 weeks post op TODAY!! And I lost about 26lbs (I havent changed the ticker below). Anyway, I now have little restriction and can pretty much eat anything (doesn't mean I shouldn't) and have had some days where I haven't done that well. BUT SCREW THAT, I went through all this drama to have this surgery and I'm losing weight damnit. I just joined and gym and will be purchasing an XBOX Kinect soon. I was curious to know what maximum workouts is everybody doing and food plans to get the maximum results. I know that everybody is different but still I figured I would ask. In addition, I have am going to be in a wedding in May and am trying to be the official 199 at least by then. Any Help you could provide would be great!!! Love you Ladies....and Gents of course!!!!

constipation, irregular!! NEED HELP BAD!!!
Thanks to you both for the solutions, I will go to Target today and pick up the vitafusion, I am also going to get a little laxative pill. I called the doctor and they said I could take pills as long as they were smaller than a dime. I will also research the Senna S and other prescription as well, but I need something today because I've been cramping a little each day. Hopefully when I finally go to the bathroom, I'll lose like 4 lbs. Thanks again!!

constipation, irregular!! NEED HELP BAD!!!
Hi Ladies/Gents, I hope all is well with you all. I am in dire need of your help and suggestions. I am roughly 6 weeks post op and have not had regular bowl movements that I had prior to surgery. I am really starting to worry about this. Now, I go about every 7 days compared to every other day. And I know some may say, that it's because you're eatting less, but the thought of knowing that I have 7 days worth of food in my degestive tract and sometimes I still can't produce a bowl movement is troubling. I know I need to mix benefiber in my Water at all times that I drink during the day, and lately I've been taking miralax, which barely does anything. Does anybody else have any remedies or have had the same problems as me. Any help would be great. This is frustrating.

what to do?
Hey, it's actually interesting that you would say that. On the day of my surgery, I was so scared that the doc would forget I'm being banded (he's a bypass specialist) and give me gastric bypass instead. I kept asking everyone around me 'EVERYONE KNOWS I'M BEING BANDED RIGHT?' lol, It was hilarious. I guess I was so concerned because gastric bypass is like literally cutting into your stomach. It's mad serious. But then again, I guess banding is serious as well. I wouldn't worry to much about faster weight loss. I think we all want to have a nice gradual weight loss (fast at times) and keep the weight off. I know my aunt had gastric bypass about 6 years ago and she's heavy again. I remember her initially dropping the weight quick but, I guess it didn't last. This can also happen for bandsters as well. I always knew that in considering weight loss surgery it would just be the band, 1) it can be removed 2) it can be removed. I'm a paranoid person and you never know what's going to come up later in life. Anyhoo, enough about that. My suggestion is for you to right down some questions, maybe even a pro/con list comparing the two and present this to your doctor. See where you stand and then move from there. I'm sure in the end it'll be all good. Best of Luck!
