How much do you eat?
I don't usually measure, but I would guess I eat maybe 1/2 cup or less. That is for lunch and supper. I don't eat breakfast anymore. I eat a snack or two as well.

Regret?
I had only been heavy for about 3-4 years when I had surgery. I went through a breakup right after I graduated high school is 2004, and I slowly (and sometimes not slowly) gained weight. I knew what type of things ran in my family health wise so I wanted to get a jump on this early, and take care of it while I was young. I have lost over 80 pounds in 11 months, and I would do it again in a minute. I like maybe 20 or so pounds at being to goal, and I think it has been pretty easy so far. No major problems or anything. Getting stuck stinks, but I can still eat just about anything I want (excluding bread) just less of it. I've lost my weight without really exercising and eating too healthy. I just cannot eat much. I like my band most of the time.

Trying to make a list, can you help?
I also like the Myoplex lite in the chocolate flavor.

1/2 cup of food
I can only eat about 1/4 - 1/2 cup of food per meal. Sometimes maybe 3/4 cup at supper.

1/2 cup of food
I was told the same thing, but I didn't really follow it until I got closer to restriction. Now since I am tighter, I can only eat about 1/4 - 1/2 cup. It gets easier. Just hang in there, and I wouldn't worry too much if you don't eat 1/2 cup. JMO.

Skipping breakfast?
I do sometimes eat something a little later at night. I eat supper around 5:30 or 6 so I may eat some popcorn or something at 7:30 or 8 so that is probably why I'm not hungry in the mornings. I hadn't thought about that being the case as to why I'm not hungry. Thank you!

Skipping breakfast?
Thank you for the replies. See the problem is I love breakfast. Even a couple months ago, I was eating a protein bar for breakfast, and before I had surgery, I loved eating Special K cereal. I have always loved breakfast, but recently, I just have no desire to eat it. Nothing really tastes all that good anymore.

Skipping breakfast?
I have noticed since I got my last fill that I don't eat breakfast hardly ever. Some mornings I may cook an egg, but that is seldom. I have my tea in the morning and that is it. I may take a few peanut butter crackers to work to eat a little later, but most times I won't eat until lunch. Does anyone else do this? I know it isn't good for me to skip breakfast, but I just don't feel like eating in the mornings. I don't even want to drink a protein shake either. Any advice?

Foods you eat/don't eat?
I no longer eat bread, and I don't miss it. I did take a small bite of cornbread the other day on New Year's, but most of the time I don't bother. Everything else I haven't had too much issues with.

Boobies question
I'm sure ya'll want to hear this , but I started at DD cup size. I went shopping for new bras Monday, and they measured me a D. I tried the bra on, and it was too small so I had to stick with a DD, which is fine with me . I have lost 76 pounds and haven't went down a cup size just the band size.

scars
I have used Emu Oil on a scar before. It worked well for me.

Getting sick alot. Anyone else have this problem?
I do take a Flintstone (Target brand actually) every night like the bottle says, but I guess it does have something to do with our nutrients. I stopped taking my chewable Calcium because it tastes like chalk, but I guess I need to start back to see if that helps. Thank you for response.

Constipation?
Thank you! I have some Benefiber so I'm going to start using that. I also am getting me some Vitafusion Fiber gummies someone recommended the other day.

Getting sick alot. Anyone else have this problem?
Hehe. Me neither. I can handle a little sinus issue if I am losing weight. I just thought it was weird, but I'm glad I'm not alone.

Constipation?
Did your doctor say why not to use Metamucil? That is what I have been taking.

Bored with Food!!
This is me as well. I just don't miss things like I thought I would. I used to love bread, but I really don't miss it. Of course, I would like to be able to eat a homemade biscuit on Christmas morning, but it's not a big deal anymore. I don't miss Diet Coke or soft drinks at all.

Getting sick alot. Anyone else have this problem?
That sounds like me. I don't know if it has anything to do with the surgery because I will be a year out on Feb. 8 so I guess it's just a coincidence for me.

No. I don't recall ever getting a flu shot except maybe when I was a kid. I guess that is something I should do. LOL.

Getting sick alot. Anyone else have this problem?
I have noticed since it has gotten colder here that I have been sick three times. I got sick in late October just sinus and stuffy nose. I got sick right after Thanksgiving with a sinus infection that lasted three weeks. I finally went to my regular doctor on Dec. 8, and she gave me an antibiotic. I was great until this morning. My nose is burning, and I feel like a sore throat is coming on. I have never been sick more than twice during the winter months so I am curious if it has something to do with the lapband surgery? It may be a stupid question, but I just cannot figure out why I am getting sick all of a sudden every few weeks. I guess it is just a coincidence or something, but I thought I would ask. Thanks!

I just want to eat a hamburger...
That sounds really good, but I don't think there is any way I could eat bread. I would love to be able to make these though.

I just want to eat a hamburger...
I know this question isn't for me so I'm sorry for hijacking . Does your doctor let you eat those foods after three weeks since surgery? I'm curious because that was the week I started mushies. It seems too soon to be eating solid foods, but if that is what your doctor said then I guess it is fine.

Struggling with liquids - not drinking with meals
I used to drink with my meals up until a few months ago. I know we aren't suppose to, but I got thirsty. Now, there is no way I could or would drink while eating. There is just no room for it. It gets better, and once you realize that it's going to hurt if you do then it makes it a little easier.

This band is so inconsistent:(
The band does losen after a few days or weeks of getting a fill. I do know that eating Soups may not keep you full long. I hate some chili today from a local eatery, and it was a little runny. Not much substance to it so I was hungry about two hours later. But you did say you were getting more Protein so I'm not sure what to tell you besides hang in there. I'm not sure if I'm at restriction yet, and I have been banded since Feb. 8 of this year. You will get there!

I just want to eat a hamburger...
I do eat a hamburger every once and awhile (without the bun of course), but I hardly eat fast food so it is usually a grilled one from home. I have been wandering if I will ever be able to eat a hamburger with the bun ever again. Not that I really miss eating bread, but sometimes I miss taking big bites and eating the whole burger. LOL.

What do you do when you have a stuck episode?
It's probably the bread. You probably will not be able to eat bread once you get tighter. I know I don't even try it. The eggs can be a problem for some people. They go down fine for me. It seems my back hurts sometimes during a stuck episode.
