Things Moving Through Slowly. Too Tight?
I noticed I started having heartburn at night especially, and I could only eat a couple bites of food. I now realize I was too tight then, but mine kinda happened all of a sudden. I got some fluid taken out about a week before, and one morning I woke up, and it hurt to drink or even swallow my own saliva. This was on a Thursday, and I thought it would go away, but when I couldn't sleep that night I knew something was up. I went to the doctor on Friday, and he took all my fluid out. Had a fluro the next week and it had prolapsed. It didn't get better over the year so I decided to get it fixed in March.

Things Moving Through Slowly. Too Tight?
I forgot to mention this, but when food or liquids pass through the band, it makes a funny noise like my stomach is burping or something.

Things Moving Through Slowly. Too Tight?
That is what I was thinking as well. I think I might wait until next week to see how it's going.

Things Moving Through Slowly. Too Tight?
I received on Tuesday my second fill after my revision surgery. My doctor did put about 3-4 cc in during surgery, and I got 1 cc last month and 1 cc Tuesday. I can just about feel everything pass through the band. It isn't that uncomfortable unless I take too big of a gulp or too big of a bite. Is this normal or should I get some taken out? I'm paranoid since I did have a slipped band before.

Will Cramping Ever Go Away?
I had my band repositioned on March 8, and ever since then I have bad cramps. Just miserable almost all the time. It didn't do this the first go around so I don't know what is up. I had my gallbladder scanned last week, but I have yet to hear from them about that. I thought it might be constipation or something, but I take a stool softener almost every day which helps me go to the bathroom. Anyone else have cramps a lot of the times? I have tried gas x to no avail.

Anyone ever heard of a band "exploding"
I'm sorry you lost your friend (if that is even true), but I seriously doubt her band exploded. What can one eat that could make the band explode? I've eaten just about anything with my band. This post seems fishy to me.

This No Drinks During And 30 Minute B4 & After Meal Rule Is Harder Than I Thought
I've never understood the 30 before eating rule. My doctor doesn't make us do that. If liquid goes right through the band what is the big deal? Asking because I don't know a real good answer.

Sharp Pain On The Right Side (A Cramp)
I get the same thing from time to time but mine is on my left side. It feels like a runners cramp. I think mine comes when I eat a little too much.

Today Is My First Adjustment....what Can I Expect?
My doctor said two days liquids and then two days mushies. I had my fill on Wednesday so I stuck to liquids the rest of that day and then yesterday. I even wanted until today to eat some pintos and cheese from Taco Bell. I suppose I will do a baked potato for supper.

How Soon After Surgery Can I Get A Fill.
Right at 4 weeks post op, and then every 4-5 weeks after that.

How Much Are You Eating?
The nurse who helps my doctor said 1 cup of food per meal. She said even if you can eat more than that don't.

Gallbladder Problems?
I do have a scan set up for Monday morning. It is not terrible pain. It is more like a dull aching get on your nerves type pain. It is kinda of hard to explain. I hope we find out what is going on. Maybe it is just my back acting up since I have to tug and lift heavier items everyday.

Not A Glamourous Topic...
I bought some fiber gummies, and took the two a day like they suggested. It doesn't do anything for me.

Constipation At Day 10
I've never heard of constipation being a sign of a slip. Heartburn, reflux, pain when eating/drinking is all I have ever heard about. I have constipation as well. I will take some pills (I think they are a stool softener of some kind), and the next morning, I am good to go.

Gallbladder Problems?
Forgot to mention. Lately the pain is like a cramping underneath my right breast bone area, and goes into my upper back on the right side.

Gallbladder Problems?
I have my band repositioned on March 8, and I was doing fine the first week. About a week after surgery, I started having pain where by band is and going through to my back right around the rib cage/shoulder blade area. So of course I freak out because I had to have mine fixed. I thought it might be soreness from the surgery or whatever, but it hasn't went away. I went yesterday for a fill under fluro, and the band looks fine and is positioned fine. I still have this pain after I eat, and sometimes after I drink. For example, after Easter dinner I immediately had this horrible upper back pain. I don't know if it is my gallbladder, but I go for a test on Monday. I'm only 25 so I don't know what to do. I've never had anything like this done, and I don't know if I want my gallbladder removed (if it gets that far of course). Any suggestions from people who have had problems with their gallbladder?

Today Is My First Adjustment....what Can I Expect?
It usually goes pretty quickly. I had mine under fluro yesterday. I also learned yesterday that they have to use special needles for the lap band. They are a lot thinner and such than regular needles. The regular needles can harm the port.

Two Weeks Post Op...is It Heartburn?! What's The Problem?
Not me. Since I don't have restriction I take big bites. I'm trying to teach myself to slow down, and take smaller bites, but it is hard.

Trouble Getting In The Water!
I'll be honest. I don't get nearly enough liquids in a day let alone the water they say you are suppose to. Don't know if that is a problem, but I seem to be doing fine with it.

How Big Of "sips" Can I Take?
Can chugging water or taking too big of a drink all the time lead to slips or problems with the band? Or just some discomfort in your chest? I like to take big sips so I'm curious. I don't want to mess the band up.

Your Full Signal?
I was curious what everyone's full signal is? I don't know if this is mine, but my upper back starts hurting like crazy after I eat (and other times throughout the day as well). It may be me tugging on items everyday as towhy my back hurts but I don't know know my full signal. I don't hiccup or burp.

So Hard To Eat
That is only when you are eating solid food. You need to drink drink and drink some more. Keep sipping all day.

Band Has Slipped
I just had revision surgery March 8. I still have my first band. My doctor just moved it up into a different spot. So far so good I guess.

23 Days Post-Op
Yes. I had a slip back in March 2011, and I just now decided to get it fixed.

23 Days Post-Op
Congrats. Keep up the good work. I am one month out from my second surgery. Are you back on solids yet? I am transitioning this week to solids so I'm a little scared.
