Ok Guys.. What Was In Your Menu Today?
I had surgery, for the second time, on March 8. Today I didn't have anything for breakfast just drank something. I had some egg salad for lunch, and tonight I am having potato soup. Cannot wait until Wednesday when I can move to more soft foods. Not a big fan of the pureed/mushies.

What Would You Recommend At A Restaurant?!
I would think you could just about eat anything since you don't have much restriction yet. Just take it slow. I know I was able to eat any and everything I wanted up until like the 4th fill.

Got A Bill For Anesthesia- Already Paid
Thank you for the responses. I had to pay the hospital like $4200.00. My doctor $1000.00, and the antheselogist (sp?) $800.00. The insurance didn't pay any of it. I payed all of that upfront a couple weeks before surgery. Hopefully, like you say Mel, they will get it straightened out. I already called and left a message to the lady I talked to about the surgery so hopefully everything works out.

Worried A Lil' About My Port
I believe mine has moved as well but I think it is normal when you lose weight. I called all freaked out and the nurse said it happens. Mine also pains me as well at times. It depends on what I'm doing.

Got A Bill For Anesthesia- Already Paid
I put the $800.00 on my credit card, and it was charged to my card last month so it is already paid for.

Got A Bill For Anesthesia- Already Paid
I am a self pay patient, and the hospital I use is now affiliated with NorthStar Anesthesia so I had to call this place a few weeks before my surgery and pay them $800.00 for that part of the surgery. I get home from work a few minutes ago, and I have a bill from them for almost $3000.00 for anesthesia. The lady asked me when I called to pay before surgery how long I would be out, and I said it shouldn't take more than an hour for lap band, and she told me it was a flat rate for lap band anyway. I then get this bill so I am freaking out. I better not have to pay this because that isn't what I was told. Anyone ever have this happen to them? It appears they filled on my insurance which they didn't pay.

This Really Suxxx
Why does air bubbles cause the band to have to be removed? Never heard of this so I'm curious.

Help Bandsters, What Am I Doing Wrong?
May I ask when you had your revision and how it is going? What caused yours to slip? I had my band repositioned two weeks ago. I'm having some pain inside where my band is so I'm a little worried, but my back has been killing me so it might be from that.

Carnie Wilson Had Lap Band Surgery.....
My brother has gained weight after he had bypass so this doesn't surprise me. I figured it might be common.

Feel Things Inside
Cannot say I have. Sorry.

Help Bandsters, What Am I Doing Wrong?
I would get all the fluid taken out and let your stomach rest for a month or a few months. You don't want to be dealing with a slipped band in the future.

I'm Losing It!
Definitely go to your doctor asap. And don't eat any solids until you get an unfill. If it is partially slipped this could hurt it further. Acid reflux is a sign of being too tight.

I'm Losing It!
When my band slipped, I was in pain just from swallowing my own saliva. As soon as anything went through my band, I had this sharp pain. You will know if it slipped usually unless it is a small slip that can correct itself.

Feeling Sick?!
I noticed my first go around I would get nauseuous (sp?) really bad especially if I ate too much or too fast. I would have to make myself gag a little for it to go away. I'm hoping I don't have this problem the second time around.

How Long Before I Can Start Working Out Again?
I believe it is around 4-6 weeks before they recommend doing that type of exercise. Walking would be fine but I would wait a few more weeks to do Zumba. Just my opinion though.

4 Days Post-Op, Still No Bm And Hunger Issues?
I have constipation problems ever since I got the band. I will go days without using the bathroom. I'm not in any pain or discomfort so I just wait until I have to go. Don't know if that is a problem or not.

Sunday Dinner.
Sounds like you have an awesome family. God bless!

Problem With My Band
I remember I had heartburn and some reflux at night when I had a slipped band. You might want to go under fluro again to get it checked out.

Had All My Fill Removed....help
Sorry. I've never heard of anything like this happening. Hope it gets better for you. Thankfully your band didn't prolapse on you.

What's All The Noise? Help!
Is it when you drink or eat? Mine makes noise when I drink. Don't know why yours is just now starting though.

I'm Worried!
My band slipped about a year ago, and I just now (March 8, 2012) got it fixed, but I am really paranoid. I was doing fine still on fill liquids and then last night after I drank a Protein shake, I felt some aching inside right where the band was, and it is still doing it a little this morning. It kinda feels the same as it did while I was living with a slipped band. I know I was in surgery 1.5 hours due to a bunch of scar tissue from the first surgery and that might be what it is, but I am truely worried since I did have a slipped band before. I don't ever want to have this surgery again so I'm paranoid. Could it be I'm still healing even though it didn't do this during the earlier parts of this week? The doctor put like 5 cc's of Fluid in during surgery which scares me a lot. Could that be a problem? It seems liquids are going down fine. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

Ate A Full Burger And Fries! Help!!
Can you cause your band to slip if you overeat a lot? Or if you take big bites?

Food Ideas For Puree Diet?
I don't believe noodles was on my list, but pudding was. I actually have been eating pudding already. I am a week out from my second surgery so hopefully I didn't hurt anything by eating that.
-
Food Ideas For Puree Diet?
Also, mashed potatoes and cream soups if you couldn't have those on the liquid portion. I know a lot of people don't want to eat a lot of mash potatoes but that is what I lived on for about a week the first go around at this surgery.

Food Ideas For Puree Diet?
The sheet the doctor gave me suggested things such as real soft eggs, thinned oatmeal. I know that I've been wanting some food with substance so those things are going to be so good.
